I have to go back and work on my right finger tap, I've never heard a double tap that fast without using the edge of the pick to get the same speed. Also using the edge of a pick usually gets an unwanted brittle sound.

but like you said i wasint a fan of the brittle sound it gave

just practice slow seriously dosent take long to get faster at :)
