  • this is beautiful

  • @fIRsTRATmAN thanks so much! I think that this was one of the first tapping parts that I wrote, and it was also my first youtube vid. I was pretty nervous - funny looking back on it. I really need to finish the song that I've been working on that uses this part! It's been on the back burner for years ughhh

  • hey are you using the vintage memory man or the newer one?

  • Nice 5e3 demo...thanks for playing something that *isn't* blues.

Those amps(especially with alnico speakers)are great for ambient music because they add allot of depth.

  • hahaha i know what you're saying! thanks man

  • Nice...I've wanted a 5e3 for awhile.

It's also nice to hear somebody something OTHER than corny blues or funk through on of these.

  • I'm obsessed with the neck pickup on the Baja tele and use it 99% of the time. I didn't need all of the Baja switching options, and I wanted the toggle out of my way, so I reversed it so I can strum hard and not worry about hitting the selector (since I park it on the pickup) . . ..

  • Thats pretty neat idea. Never thought about it but then again im always using the bridge 99.5% of the time. Because of the way i strum when i using the neck ; I end up pushing it to the bridge.

  • How come you reversed the wiring to the 4 selector?

  • sweet dude.good to see your still puttin your talent to work:]

  • are you a fan of Thursday and Thrice by any chance?

    good playing!

  • hi, thanks for checking my stuff out. i've always loved thursday and thrice. my old band was lucky enough to get to open for thrice when they played taste of chaos. they r sooooo sick

  • like your stuff very much. i also got a baja most recently and i posted somesonic delicacies on my youtube site as well. check em out if you want fellow baja-ite.regards

  • hey holychest13, thanks for subscribing. The mods I did to my Baja were:

-ditched the 4 way switching for an RS Guitarworks vintage kit (and reverse wired the selector switch)

-Callaham Vintage T Bridge (huge improvement in sustain and low end)

-Lollar 52 bridge pickup. I use the neck pickup like 90% of the time - the stock neck pickup on the Baja is AMAZING

  • Is your baja telecaster not stock?

  • Killer stuff dude.

  • dude - play some more. You have a 5E3 and baja tele people want to hear. Looks like you can play as well. You have a couple of tone machines there. Hit us.

  • Hi altweed - I'll be doing a bunch more videos in the coming month. My alnico speaker for the 5E3 should be here in a few days, and I've got some other cool modded teles I wanna use.

I've also got a 1982 JCM 800 2203 that was modded by Soldano. I'm dying to get some clips of that thing up, it is a monster. Thanks again for listening I really appreciate it!

  • That's rad you ordered the CD Darthalal - too nice. this youtube clip is part of my new side-project, i'm trying to really switch up my approach to guitar. if you've got any questions about 5E3s / mods don't hesitate to ask!!

  • Hey man, I found this looking for 5E3 videos (about to start a build myself) and ended up ordering your band's cd! I've been trying to figure out how to play it myself, with no luck, haha.

Anyway, sounds awesome, keep it up!

  • Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. That was just one part to a song I wrote - Hopefully I can record a much longer version with my looper soon

  • I liked that, rock on, dude! 5 stars from me!
