I think that this black foal was run to death...other simular photos show a black foal that was run until his hooves filed off to the bone. Our U.S. TAXES paid the Government-owned BLM to do this inhumane and barbaric roundup. It is the WILL OF THE PEOPLE of the UNITED STATES that OUR CONSTITUTION be upheld by our paid Government officials and that our FEDERALLY PROTECTED free-roaming wild mustangs be allowed to run free on our public lands.
Any idea how much it's costing us for this helicopter to chase this baby? This has to stop. There's enough room for all the wildlife...cattlemen just want it all Money is the root of All EVIL!

These poor babies are exhausted, scared, dehydrated, sore and lost and panicked! This must stop! Please call your representatives and senators and ask for a congressional investigation. Horrifying...imagine having those inhumane humans as 'friends and family?' I feel so bad for the little foals and their Mommas who are separated from their babies. How upsetting that must be. It makes for aggressiveness...and rightly so.
I think they need to stop these roundups until someone can figure out a better humane way to manage them. Having said that, I think that they should just leave them alone and let nature decide their fate rather than putting them in holding pens or sending them to slaughter.

They run the foals until they are lame--then say they are "deformed" and euthanize them! Deformed foals could not run to the traps. This is heartless--even wild animals treat their prey with more respect than BLM !
I don't understand this. They have no reason to take perfectly fine wild horses. We breed to many now! This is just heart breaking. No need for THREE adult horses to be chasing down a 200 pound foal. Come on people. thank you for showing this I support stoping this 100%. (I'm so mad by the way)

"Humanity," to hell with it, bunch of sick cruel morons.

Dean Bolstad speaking for BLM told me, "They will do just fine," when I warned them about the calamity awaiting the horses and particularly the foals in these roundups. This is not "just fine." Flying over an exhausted foal in this manner is the height of incompetence or abuse: take your pick. Neither is acceptable. I've witnessed countless hours of roundups: this is really bad. BLM has lost all credibility in whitewashing this.

Really puts you in the drivers seat and makes you feel disgust for what helicopter roundups represent and how disgraceful human behaviour can be towards animals. It's a miracle that these horses don't kick out and destroy these people as they are pushed, shoved, hit and intimidated into getting on the trucks. Poor confused, fearful horses. And imagine the marksmanship when they are shot from the air. Too horrible to imagine.
