  • I'm just beginning to learn racquetball, and watching the pro's is amazing.

  • Swain should wear tighter shorts.

  • Racket ball is so fun!!

  • Damn...I need to step it up!

  • I prefer squash.

  • Fuck

  • this video is beat

  • SOCCER IS THE BEST

  • To see the best Handball videos ever made, come to my channel and see for yourself..click the subscribe button as well :D

  • uhh anyone else been hit in the face while playing this

  • racquetball isnt just a power sport. almost every shot these guys take have strategy behind them

  • i like playing racquetball with 1 wall (like handball)

  • just not as entertaining as squash

  • wow this makes me look just awful at racquetball hahaha :) oh well I have fun.

  • god raquetball kicks ass

  • Hey SportSquash and mattmansfield17......squash is gay.

  • these announcers are terrible, they can't keep track of the plays for nothing.

  • It's a sport for animals. without technical. squash forever

  • @SportSquash Let's be honest. Tennis kicks squash and racquetball's ass. There are 10 times more tennis players than squash and racquetball combined. The world knows who Agassi, Nadal, Sampras and Federer are. Does anyone know who Power, Shabana, Nicol and the Khans are (Squash), nor does anyone know who Hogan, Swain, Walenchuk and Monchik are (racquetball). Get over it, tennis players make millions while squash and racquetball players are luck to buy a deli (props Suds).

  • racquetballs not as visually appealing as tennis so thats why it wouldnt get much tv coverage. not the action of the sport but the setting itself. Still this was an amazing display of skill!

  • @acehead0987 Plus you can hardly ever see the ball. It moves so damn fast! O_o I prefer tennis but this is still fun though.

  • Poor man's squash...

  • Best players of all time

    Kane Waselenchuk

    Cliff Swain

    Sudsy Monchick

    Jason Mannino

    Jack Huczeck

    Rocky Carson

  • we are reading a story called The Challenge in class its about a boy lying and said hes won tournaments of racquetball this is one of the things he lied about

  • great vid thx for posting

  • Racquetball should have as much TV coverage as Tennis. This should be seen on ESPN.

  • @vgmaster9 Racquetball more coverage than tennis. Now that is really a good laugh, considering than there are 10 times more tennis players than racquetball players.

  • @mrbobevans

I'm just saying this be be more popular than it already is.

  • @vgmaster9 that ain't saying a lot considering football, basketball and baseball have LOADS of coverage compared to tennis. i can never even find a tennis game on espn

  • @Fernandez218

Then you haven't watched must EPSN, cause I see it on there alot.

  • @vgmaster9 i definitely haven't watched EPSN. maybe that's why. i check ESPN all the time and never see tennis. just world poker and bio's on former football players, unless baseball/basketball/football season has started

  • @Fernandez218 just gotta watch during the opens or wimbledon, its usually on one channel or the other. Dont forget all the coverage of tiger woods they have on there. As far as diversity in sports go, theyre missing out big time, and since when is poker a sport, is keeping your face muscles straight a real calorie burner?

  • @snowyphil65 i ain't arguing with you here. i wish there were more racket sports shown on ESPN -- PERIOD. I love racquetball, tennis, ping-pong, etc.. not in that particular order. I just want to see good rallies or good shots or both, from good players. thanks for the heads up!

  • @Fernandez218 im not a huge tennis fan but ill watch it once in a while, ping pongs a blast and they very rarely show it, i have never seen racquetball on espn, its a real shame because its about the most exciting racquet sport there is

  • I love Raquetball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • These guys are FUCKING tough! I mean my mom is good but these guys!!!!!!!!!!

  • Your Mom Is Good!

  • @DOWNundah123 It is lame, if you have horrible hand-eye coordination. Maybe you should stick to games like football-watching and elbow-raising.

  • DEAR HUGHTUB,

    well played my friend! haha!

  • Then why are you watching a video of it?

  • lol aw come on! don't let your clam make a pearl of it!

  • This video reeks of the '90s.

And Cliff's drive serve is nuts.

  • I play rights and lefts, but it's gotta be weird playing somebody who is a dominant left. Huh.

  • wtf...so who wins?

  • Probably for the same reason they have tennis and ping pong.

  • why do they have raquetball and squash. seems like there is not enough difference between them.

  • it's a completely different game..

  • They are played on different courts, with different balls, and different racquets and the strategies are quite different as well.

  • I am afraid of diving :(

  • i was too until i realized that it only hurts a bit after but never immediately following...especially after you actually make your shot :) if you dive and hit your hip or hand but make it...you are back on your feet and too caught up to worry about the pain....unfortunately though, right now i have a 5" bruise on my right hip from landing wrong...and didnt get my shot either...bummer.

  • watch?v=dMprOXNAvKM

a good drill for working on your diving without actually doing it.

  • THANKS! ill be hitting the court tomorrow and will try the machine gun drill.

  • WAHT.

Guys, I want to be as awesome as them.

  • These announcers suck the big one. I've never heard such horrible announcers--they got nearly EVERY shot and call wrong.

  • Like others have said, the racquets have evolved big time. My guess is that these guys were using at least 225 gram vs. what I'm currently using at 150 gram with more power, precision and overall strength than what was available during the early 90s. Swain and Sweeney are legends to say the least. Croakies and short shorts anyone? lol

  • i dont understand the rules of this game haha.

  • The rules are pretty simple. You only score points when you serve. The ball has to pass the service box and has to hit the front wall first. Return shots must hit the front wall before hitting the floor. If after a shot is made the ball bounces on the floor twice, the point is over.

  • so how does th e person who isn't serving get points

  • They don't. It's like volleyball that way.

  • nice diving

  • Racquets have totally evolved, especially GearBox racquets. I have to say they're the greatest thing. Personal favorite: GearBox 165 Featherweight, strung around 34 pounds, with Gamma Strings (neon green).

  • great footage from a great year ... think this was Cliff's second prostop after being away for 2 years (tennis yrs) ... Sweeney was great as well ... would've been great if he had stay with the pro game.

  • nice, the racquets have really evolved

  • as a racquetball player, I tend to rely on accuracy and shot selection, and I'm usually able to beat my hard-hitting buddies.

  • Is there any finesse in this sport or is it all just hard-hitting? Compared to squash, racquetball looks so crude..

  • Fair point..racquetball generally is not a game of finesse like squash is. However, there are different game styles, such as power (like these two players) and control. I guess the counter-point that some folks might make is: squash is slow and boring. But I enjoy personally appreciate and enjoy both sports.

  • I think every player has a different style. There are times for hard shots, but then again there are times for soft shots. In my opinion, rball and squash are not even similar. It's like comparing ping pong to badminton.

  • @rballisfun Come play against my lob / drop-shot game and then tell me its not a game of finesse...

  • There is actually alot of finesse involved in racquetball. Keep in mind these pro players keep an extremely high level of accuracy as well as tremendous power. Every shot is pre-meditated and is not just a crude bling mad-ape swing towards the front wall.

  • @grayguru lots of accuracy involved forsure!

  • @abhinavc

These two are power players. There are a lot of finesse and and aimed shots that require a much softer touch. I can't slam the ball so I have to play with touch.

  • @abhinavc There's plenty of finesse but less compared to squash. But all the hard hits are measured and strategic even if it just looks crude. A hapless smash ends up setting up your opponent.

  • yo them guys gotz mad skillz

  • Are there any drop shots in this Racquetball?

  • Cliff is GREAT!

  • Videos can be any size.

  • dude cliff does the best drive serves i have ever seen! go snake!!!

  • I keep expecting death from an accidental hit.

  • Cliff is the best player that ever played the game

  • announcers are terrible, why dont they shut up?

  • Thanks for cutting the video off at 9-10 in a game to 11. I don't think I will be able to sleep for weeks with all the suspense.

  • Ha sorry buddy but the file size can only be so large. Here's a hint though...it goes to 5 games (they play best 3 out of 5) and one of them wins...

  • That's awful!

  • Those guys are good. Is that court 20 ft. wide? It looks wider - probably the camera angle.

  • Cliff is the best ever!> my hero

  • Cliff Swain is my hero. I'm sure every1 thinks this...but I wonder if they had the newer racquets. Could have used some more stylish goggles too..geez

  • Cliff Swain is a beast!

  • He's the snake
