oh 6.5 was the avg i remember this stuff when i was in highschool man it was so great, man this was the heyday of the 80's in the late 90's. Hogan was a pimp man but WCW at that time had so many pimps that just made it great, i miss those days

@KTMRanger0305 WCW never averaged 6.5, ever. the WWF did at one point in 99 and 00, along with shows that received ratings in the 7's and 8's, but WCW peaked in the high 4's, got a couple 5's and 6's, but never averaged it.

he wasnt the only one that was getting overpaid sabin, thats why wcw died was the guarenteed contracts and money. The NWO was the greatest wrestling angle of all time, it makes DX look like an event at a carnival circus. Hollywood Hogan is and will forever be the first name someone thinks of when they say professional wrestling

Its not guaranteed contracts that was the problem. Theres nothing wrong with promising a wrestler a certain amount of money for a certain amount a years. If anything I think most wrestlers would appreciate that considering wrestling is such an adhoc, unpredictable business where you give so much of yourself and get nothing in return. The problem was with the size of the contracts. WCW and Bischoff were just throwing million dollar contracts around like candy.
