  • 1:56 happened to me before :( I had to ride home 2 hours being wet.

  • to stop falling off you could try and use your inside leg whilst your on the jump and also maybe get some lesons of your positions in the jumping cause it might not be the horses fault cause it looks like you need a little practise on your position tell me if you need any more advice :) x

  • You don't need to be able to jump to be a good horse rider, nor do you have to be able to ride bareback, or be elegant. What you need to be a good horserider is patience, understanding, and no anger. You should also respect your horse, and be its leader and its leader.

Sure, you need some technique, but only one that fits both you and the horse.

    ..

But that's just my opinion. ^.-

  • @0weetgeennaam0 that maybe true but to be good you do have to be able to stay in the saddle no matter what

  • 3:17...yikes. I learned to ride bareback i've had a few good falls and i could have given up and said it wasnt worth the falls to ride. But i didn't I am now training and barrel racing two beautiful quarter horses a 3 yr old gelding and an 8 yr old mare. We have our ups and downs i've had some good falls off of both but at the end of the day when they're in stalls for the night everything is worth having the two of them to love and ride.

  • where did you get the clips from?

  • great rider indeed. see the foam coming from the mouth. fasten a metal bar over your tongue and let someone pull on it for awhile. then buy yourself a halter and ride right.

  • @ArthurPanda22 LMAO mate dont be stupid. not every horse has foam coming out of its mouth when they get ridden in a bit. theres nothing wrong with riding in a bit if you ride the right way

  • This is so true me and My pony Arora go through the same things

  • The only thing that is hard bout riding a horse is... the ground and what it takes to be a horse back rider is loving a horse... no matter if u r western or english. it dont matter anyone can ride if they try :p

  • My horse is the most amazing pony ever, but it takes alot of Things to get him going!

  • I can do jumping. And ride bareback+no reins. That doesnt make me amazing.

  • comment tu fait pour faireune video avec des images ??????????????

  • I really want to ppost videos of me riding, I'm 11 but I dont want people to say nasty things about my riding (i dont mind contructive criticsm). What shall i do?

  • @rokgirl86 Post a video and we'll see ^^x

  • @SanneChannel Ok I might upload one this week end :)

  • @rokgirl86 Good Go For it!

And if you get STUPID or MEAN comments just Don't care about it! ;D

  • @SanneChannel Ok, thank you :) I'm doing my riding lesson tomorrow so I probably will get my Mum to record me :)

  • @rokgirl86 REALLY?! Me too!!! ;p Are you livin' in belgium?

  • @SanneChannel No I live in England. :)

  • @rokgirl86 Ahw okay ^^

For how long do you ride horses??;D

  • @SanneChannel For a hour :) How about youu? :)

  • @rokgirl86 huh an hour?

    In days he :p

    I am riding for 3 years ;D x

  • @SanneChannel Oh I thought how long are your lessons for :P I've been riding for about a year :)

  • @rokgirl86 Ah :p

    Okay :p

and is you'r video uploaded? ;D

  • very nice...the music makes it all that much more intense!

  • nice, its totally true about all the falls. I've had some nasty ones too. Probably not as bad but pretty much the same. love the vid

  • I kind of disagree with Elegance and Control. Elegance with dressage yeah, but not for overall riding. And control? That is NOT what it takes to be a rider at all, it is establishing a bond with your horse, not controlling him like a machine.

  • You know what else i hate?! people you go around thinking their type of riding is sooooo much harder then any one elses all riding is hard because you have to learn how to talk with the horse and bond with them i ride english its hard but so is dressage, eventing, barrel, cutting, whatever, all riding is hard so dont have to go around saying"_____ is way harder than_____!!!" cuz all riding is hard!!!!!!!!

  • this song is on Flicka!! :) this movie you made almost brought tears to my eyes!good job!!it makes me realize what everyone (including me) have if they have a horse or pony..a relationship unbreakable. absolutley marvolous!

  • i ride English and Western and they both are hard in their own way.

Why does everyone have to complain about the different styles of riding they are almost the same with different tack.

Great video by the way i love the song and pics

  • I love this song

  • It doesn't matter what discipline you ride! I ride Western and the amount of work doesn't change at all. If anything it's harder because you don't have martingales or anything like that. It's just a saddle, a simple headstall, single bit and reins, and you. No fancy crap like in English.

  • @Feiredencer english tack isnt all that fancy i only use a simply saddle and a simply bridle and a simple bit and reins if any thing western is fancy

  • @Feiredencer

i ride english..and a little bit of western.i think western is great, your horrse responds to you as if you are connected.that is the same with english..but sometimes people arent really connected with their horse in english which can sometimes put people off english riding.

  • dude, why are all the pictures of jumping? there are plenty of sucessful riders who do other things then jump. sure it's an aspect of being able to ride, but it doesn't determine how GOOD of a rider you are. a good rider is someone who has their horses full respec, and treats their horse the best they can.

  • so you have to jump to be a good rider? XS dought it

  • @SuperSexybitches123 no she was just using one aspect of riding, i've ridden western nd ik its not that simpe eithr, nd i also ride english, so ik tht both of them are hard work

  • It doesnt matter how you ride. How top you are. Whether or not you feel confident. Its the trust and achievment within yourself that makes u a amazing rider. Not The horse you own or ride. The effort and comitment

  • go horses

  • LAME

  • @bustedbojangles why r u watching it then i dont go around making fun of ur videos!

  • Oh my gosh! This song makes me cry because my friends sister died listening to this song.

  • It doesn't matter which or what discipline you ride! Whether it's English or Western or even bareback! To be a good rider, you have to be able to UNDERSTAND your Horse and listen to the Horse. It doesn't even matter if you own 1 or 15 Horses! You just have to know when to listen to your Horse. That's All.

  • I've been riding for 13 years and my brother has a friend who says horseback riding is not a sport. I haven't met his friend, but when we do we're going to have a little chat xD

    Anyway great video!

  • I had a wonderful horse of my own and her name was daisy, she was the best ! But then I had to sell her because I outgrew her and we could not afford two horses :( I was so upset that I stopped riding for 5 months and now I really really want her back :L But I have started riding again and hopefully soon I will get another horse, no horse could ever replace Daisy but i can try :)

  • to be a great rider you need to earn the TRUST of your horse the UNDERSTANDING of your horse, a BOND with your horse, you can't just hope on a horse and hope for the best, i mean you could but it might not turn out the best... but you need love and passion.. and think of your horse and not just yourself, poor horses... they have to take responiblity for OUR mistakes and the death because we where careless.. the least we could give to them is our respect.

  • people who dont ride complain how its not a sport and its easy, and its hard to talk about riding with someone who doesnt ride and prove them wrong. i hate it when people come back and say "i rode a horse on vacation and its super easy"...and when people complain about pain after soccer or football practice, i just wanna put them on a horse for a good 2 hours and then they will see what real pain feels like....

  • @xofstchickluv95 I know my 'friend' says all you do is sit there its not a sport! I want to rip anyone who ever says that to tiny little pievces... I guess thats why most of my friends all love horses and ride... because they understand me

  • @i2mu i know what you mean!!! a couple days ago i almost fell off at full speed cause my foot slipped from the stirup and i tilted to one side but thank god my horse stopped right away and didnt move a muscle till i got fully back on....i guess i kinda owe my life to him now!!

  • @xofstchickluv95

Thats exactly what my parents are like. And they keep saying I only sweat because of the heat and not because of the exersice. Apparently I just sit there and the horse will jump and stuff! I get SUPER mad because you cant explain the feeling of being on horseback and how much work you ut into it but how its all worth it.....and they keep dissageeing to try :( My uncle says golf is a harder sport :o

  • @sississis06 i know i mean really riding is a reallly hard sport...and i sweat like crazy after only like 20 minutes of trotting at english cause it takes so much leg muscle...even western takes a lot of leg power and people dont understand it and it just bothers me so so much

  • Whats this song called?

  • Dude my horse is a massive thoroughbred. I fell off once and even the little falls hurt!

  • I've ridden for three years in English,but I haven't fallen off YET,but Iv'e come close...

  • don't forget confidence! lol

  • I just beggining riding and reading all these comments make me feel like I suck cuz I cant ide bareback, or jump yet. But I really love the sport and adore horses

  • @sississis06 don't worry, everyone has to start somewhere(: [the beginning is the best spot] (:

  • @sississis06 Dont worry i dont ride bareback either and i only recently started jump 2 foot... i took several years! Sometimes i think the hardest time for riding ids when you start the first couple of months... because you feel so small. But I promise you in another year it will all be worth it... an amazing life long journey... it has to start somewhere.

  • actually, you have to have BALLS to be a rider, and a huge love for horses. if you have endurance and elegance, thats great for you but without the fist two things your not a rider.

  • it is a profession i agree entirly with this vid ive only fallen once in my 7 years of experience but still not easy

  • Omgk here it goes..... my name is SARH jardine and i love horses and i love to ride them to if you live in ontario that would be sweet!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry) :)

sorrt im not like this all the time im fust having alittle bit of a melt down

  • i love this video =]

you should watch my videos =]

    and comment? =]

  • Nice job!!

  • What song is this?? :)

  • riding a horse for 2h is the same as jogging 50min 5 days a week.

So... YES it is a sport!

  • You people are messed up! Try riding a horse for 60km and then tell me how your body feel?

So don't tell me it's not a sport, and

BTW. why do they always have equestrian show jumping programs on the SuperSport channels??

  • I think what makes a horse rider is someone who has fear, listens to there horse and is willing to learn. Who cares if you can make your horse rear one command! That doesn't mean anything! It may be cool that you can do those things but a REAL rider who is one with the horse instead of being alone.

  • EXACTLY!!! :D

  • okay wow you guys are fighting over who rides better and more of but what your reall saying is that hey i like to ride my horse bar back becuz i wanna prove some chick on youtube up but really you guys have no proof no point and no desire if you guys are seriously having some fucked up chick fight.. so take a chill pill the both of you cuz if you wanna a true rider than well your talking to one and my advise to you is that you guys both post a vid of your riding and see who likes the other best

  • OMG I can ride bareback with no bridle or halter I can just use hand signals, i can jump, cut, dressage, barrel race, etc, with any tack but that doesn't make me a great rider, just one with balls. You don't have to be able to ride bareback to be a great rider. A great rider is someone who listens to the horse... THATS IT!!!

  • @91cowgirl I couldn't have said it better myself

  • i totaly agree, because i can ride bareback, but there are people i know who are great riders, but they abuse their horses, and thats just wrong!!

  • @91cowgirl oh really i can as well . but these riders a little bit better than use . dont u think ?

  • @LivF326 No not really, I ride Grand Prix 1.40... So i think we are not that different...

  • @91cowgirl there ya go, i understand that!!!!!!! i live by that

  • @91cowgirl I totally agree, to be a great rider you just have to be one with your horse and not try and control him to do whatever you say whether he likes it or not.

  • @PoNyStArZaNgEl but you still do need control to show him where to go in a showjumping course or what to do in a dressage test ect

  • @91cowgirl How do you give hand signals to a horse while you're riding it? o_O

  • @91cowgirl I can do all that, its hell fun, I mainly do mini hack and dressage and jumping though. Im more of a dressage junkie hehe

  • @91cowgirl

    Well said :)

  • i love fights on youtube! they are so stupid and pointless and fun to read!

  • @sing4life64 lmao!! ikr!!

  • especially when they r about stupid things

    lol

  • my aunt say eny one can sit ona horse but to ride you have to practice not just sit

  • this is fav. video!!!!!!

  • i know ride my little noty fell pony bare bak and englsh and western . he is a silly little boy he has just started to rear its cidof cool but anoyni

  • well just so u know i can ride all three. i can jump bareback, and i can barrel race in an english saddle and bare back. its my opinion that i decided to share with the world

  • and i actully i do know what in talking about

  • how about this. i can ride bareback just fine. and i can ride english. and western. my best friend can't ride bareback and the ONLY way she rides is english. so how about you stop be "fucking stupid" and figure out what the hell you're talking about. i love this video, especially the song.

  • well in my opinion you should be able to ride all the bway around to be a great rider but if you u cant that o well tht was just my opion on things so i can say way i want and i love this vidieo too so big deal

  • so mybe y dont you teach your friend to ride western and bareback if you think your so great

  • i only ride english :/

  • shut up u r the stupid 1!!!!!!!!!

  • I ride both english and western..if you cant ride bareback or in a western saddle you might as well forget riding english i hv=ave been riding long enough to know I have seen a lot of ppl that cant ride english worth a shit!

  • @MsComanche1

OMG! You little whatsit! You don't have the right to say that! I know a lot of people that look fabulous doing english! Think before you open your mouth next time.

  • thank you!! :) i ride english!!

  • @MsComanche1 Hmm, Well I Ride English All The Time And Some Western On The Side And I Have To Say English Is Harder Than Western, Just As You Said. But I Have To Disagree With The Fact Of Riding Bareback. People That Just Started Riding Won't Know How To Hold Their Body And Ect. But They Still End Up As Great Riders. I Say Listening To The Horse, Practice, And Being "One" With The Horse Is What Its All About.

  • @MsComanche1 Are you saying i cant ride english because i cant ride western well thats a load of rubbish because i own 6 horses and 1 foal so i think i know how to ride.

  • @cassiemyclyde And also i have never tried western

  • @MsComanche1 if u can ride bareback u might as well not ride western either

  • @MsComanche1

    IKR?

Its really pointless when people do that kind of stuff and think there all that and worth a shit!

  • @MsComanche1 i ride english nd nvr tried riding bareback, i have a pretty good confidence that i could last bareback

  • @MsComanche1 waut do you think english is alot hardeer than western? orare you just saying that its different, because from my experiance western is a WHOLE different ball game :/ and is sure as hell not easy

  • good video but i dont like the song and the vid was a bit too long

  • Very much enjoyed watching this. I love how you didnt just stick to one version of riding (such as jumping) but used all disciplines from western to vaulting and even the lipizaner stallions! I highly enjoyed the awesome music choice:)

  • My pony likes to buck and I fell off once but I dont worry because I have been thrown off even though my pony spartian is trained

  • well my ponie still bucks with me and he's 16 yrs old and he is trained

  • my horse bolts bucks rears when 3 off my teeth wer missing i still have 2 ride him my mouth waz dripping with blood

  • ha lol iv been riding for 8 years now on and off but altogether 8 and iv been bolted but i have never falen off and im not riding atm because at the farm i go to there is no horse to ride lol but i hate then fact not being able toi keep on nagging my mum to take me to a riding school so yh i miss it! :( x

  • i hate english western is my thing ive tried engleish but feel cranped in the saddle

  • @brittany5170 I also ride western, but I tried the english saddle(since I have to ride with one if I want to jump) And you get used to the english saddle and learn to love it LoL.

  • LET ME GET THISS STRAIGHT WITH U IDIOTS........... if a horse bucks there just being cheeky its not that they dont wanna be ridden horses/ponys like to be ridden just some buck all the time like my pony but every horse dos it OK !

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry, but just because a horse is trained doesn't mean they won't buck. My horse is trained and he still throws one in occasionally.

  • Comment removed

  • @Snipperella

well sometimes horses buck when their just feeling good and have energy, watch them in the pasture when their running with their friends, they buck/rear etc. all the time. So they don't always buck when their upset. Sometimes their just having fun and want to unleash some of their energy.

  • People who think that riding is easy, try controlling a 1000 pound animal with a mind of his own and enjoy the arena dirt taste!

  • Comment removed

  • AWSOME VID!!!!!!!! i am quite new so ive only fallen off once but tht was enouth! my horse was cantering!!!!! ARGHH!

  • i hate when peaple think all you do is sit on a horse it takes all you got to ride i love this video it proves it not easy

  • can sumone reply telling me if horseback rodeo is cruel because i think it is. so is it?

  • how is it cruel?

  • i just think it is. if the horse is buckin it obviously doesnt want to be ridden or messed with. im just sensitive with animal cruelty so io dont no if it is.

  • well my horse bucks. not because she doesnt want to be ridden. but becos shes five and a bitch, :D

  • ye lol. haha. mine does 2 when hes exited! i just dont like it. it doesnt look like theyre happy.

  • sounds like my little mare when she was young :-) she sees no reasong for being ridden when playing outside is so much more fun!

  • Half the time when a horse bucks its because of a lack of forward motion...

so shutup when you dont know what your talking about

    thankssssss

  • sorry. ive still got a lot to learn. and i no that. but i no about if a horse bucks you should push forward i just dont like rodeo. its like bull rodeo. i just dont like the way they ride them. but if u feel like it which u probebly dont can u tell me about rodeo. are the horses wild and do they make them do it? thnx x

  • it depends on the rodeo. Some take a actual wild horses, but other just take untrained horses. and te way they get them to buck is by putting a "flank strap" on the animal. this goes around the flank of the animal at the back of the belly and is pulled tight to encourage bucking.

  • does it hurt them or is it like a girth? x

  • I've been riding since I was 5, and loved horses ever since. Been on my first horse at a month old..

Growing up on western, I'm still doing jumps with English. Believe me, riding takes a lot. Hard work, dedication, but mostly...a strong butt xD. But you know your horse will be with you through it all, so it makes everything worth it ;)

  • I have been riding for 7 years now and im moving my way up the charts...but let me say it was not easy and it took alot of time and money and hitting the dirt!

  • Ive been riding for almost 2 years and i (thankfully) havent fallen off!! Yet. lol Riding is definitely a dangerous sport. Horses spook or refuse a jump and being trampled on by a horse probably hurts quite a bit ^.^ Especially when i started a new horse and jumped on her (huge jumper might i add) i nearly flew off the saddle the first jump!! lolol xD Now a month later i am doing good!

  • I love this its soo true I said you need to be determended before the video started and for someone who just started jumping after 8 years with some instructors that werent fair I found my match and the horses I ride are amazing and its very Hard to master you are correct :D

  • What it takes to be a horse rider... TIME!! (and money)

  • lol, completly right

  • Belive me, I know how dangerous it is. Recovering from a broken elbow from when I fell off. But I can't wait till I get this cast off and sit back in the saddle!!!

  • :D lovvvvved it! <3 thanks so much! loved every second of it lol :] great work, loved the song to ;) lol i would have included, heart, soul and passion as well:]

  • what the f**k is ur problem "allahthemighty1"!!!!!!seriously!! u know,if dont know a single F**king thing about horses, then dont fu**ing insult our sport. u need to get ur head on straight and use it. u try controlling a stubborn, young, persistant, 1200 lb animal that has a mind of its own. All of us riders have gotten injured from horses, hell i just recovered from a cracked wrsit and i had to compete for a WEEK with it!!! i mean, get a life!!! ugh!!!

  • i really like dis vid. People need to realize that this is another sport, not something u can just say "oh,i think im gonna try horse riding today." it takes alot of work, i mean, ive been around horses since i was about a month old. u need to learn to work with the horse, trust them, and so on. all of the things u listed are so important in riding. ppl just dont get it. i love it!!

  • AWESOME VID!!!!!!!

I'm going to make one like it in reply!!!!!!

    People don't get it.

  • sooo tru, horse riding need everything u mentioned, plus ppl tht luv horses!!!!

  • so true!! we do more than sit on a horse!!! people dont understand!!

  • this should be titled what it takes to be an eventer because its only eventing. im an eventer but it doesnt really show anything. all i see is pics and words..

  • very nice video!

  • That Allahthemighty1 guy has posted LOADS of nasty comments on horse riding vids.. so he must sit at home and watch them all the time.. wat a loser much ? and in hockey arnt you all padded up so you dnt get hurt ? aww.. guess what ? in horse riding you only wear a hat.. or a back protector... wer not covered up like lil babys on ice... btw.. its a reli gud vid hun (:

  • Why is it that horse riding is so dangerous?

  • Why don't you get on a horse and then you will find out the dangers

  • All of what you have said is true and i love your vid!!!

  • Cool!!! Does your dad happen to be Scott Grimes? if he is then he teaches at my skewl but he's not my teacher..he's my friends...

  • hahah noo. sorry.

  • The cream is grease. Sense the jumps are solid they grease the legs so if they hit the jump they can slide over it safely

  • i love this vid

  • hermoso video!

  • thats so amazing...

  • true that!

  • cool video, and totally true

it is one of the most dangerous sports - and unreliable ones. my first gallop just happened to be on a horse i didn't know in a field with one stirrup due to two dogs and loud barking. it was...fun

  • THANK YOU!!! WONDERFUL VIDEO!!!!!! i AM SO SORRY FOR RESPONDING TO STUPID PEOPLE LIKE allahthemighty1. What s looser!! I passed your vidoe on to my 11 yr. niece. She had a bad fall but still got right back on her horse!! Thanks again!!!!!!!!

  • i love horse they are my life x its so much fun n i love his vid keep it up x

  • haha your my hero!

  • wow *cough* *cough* *sneeze* Oh sorry I'm allergic to bullshit... ;]

Well we've got some future Einsteins here now don't we? Seriously, I play ice hockey and ride horses and they are both fun and challenging. But what baffles me is if you love it so much why are you on the computer arguing with some person you don't even know when you could be out practicing if you love it so much.

  • fuck off,

and if you feel that way, then why the hell are you watching these videos? dickhead.

  • cause i wanted to post that comment you fuck up. learn how to play a REAL sport.

  • and what "real sport" do you suggest??

  • hockey and lacrosse

  • and how many pads do you get a hockey?

  • about 10

  • exactly. and do you know how many you get in horseback riding?? i will tell you. zero besides the helmet.

  • cause its for pussies

  • i swear that makes sense.

    (sarcasm)

  • oh really? why don't you try getting f.ucking thrown into a huge wooden fence and having a horse land on top of you. then we'll see who the fucking pussy is then huh?

    ha esp with no pads!

  • and is there any big hits or people slashing u with there sticks? no cause horseback riding is for pussies who are scared of getting hit.

  • lets compare shall we? getting plowed over by a 1500 pound horse and getting hit by a 150 pound guy. hmmm well since the horse weighs 10x more than the hockey player and can come at you faster than a hockey player ever could and the fact that the rider is wearing no pads? i think it may hurt. actually i know it hurts. its happened to me. and slasing with sticks? hello you have pads on theie shins. yes i realize it still hurts but it hurts less than getting kicked by a horse in the shin w/o pads

  • Thanks for that dude/chick (cant tell from your name :L lol :P ) :) I officially love you :)

    :P xxx
