If you didn't already get it (or to anyone reading) I've had the Logitech mx518 for about 2 or 3 years now, VERY well made mouse would recommend to anyone looking to buy a new one!
Ah, need for speed carbon. The only NFS game i ever owned. I had it for the 360 and spent most of the last summer playing it. I must've gone through career mode at least 10 times.
no - 5850 is 9.5 inches and the case will fit 10.5 inch cards - I have room to spare behind the PCI-E power connectors. it's the HD 5870 that won't fit.
@rapljwop Really? My Sapphire HD 5850 card was 10.5 inches I think, and I have the same case, but I think the only reason mine fit was because my mobo is so small, the card just went over above the hard drive slots, but had the pci slot been lower in the mobo, my card wouldn't have fit. My card looks different to yours.
I hear a GTX275 will just fit in this case but nothing bigger than that !!
In the video you said windows 7 took ages to start installing. i take it you mean the setup pages took ages to pop up on screen, if so that happened to me and i put it down to a bios/motherboard issue as it has only happened on my current gigabyte board with the F2 revision bios.
@leezaal ^^ I have one, on my mobo the primary PCI-E is at the bottom (stupid ATI board) And it literally touches it but only a little, and btw the 275 is the same size as the 285 - 295 the only card that i dont think will fit are 5970's (13inches long) and maybe 5870's (not sure)
I play NFS Shift (sometimes online), Race Driver GRID (sometimes online), Crysis (never online), Burnout Paradise (can't get online), MS FSX, NFS Carbon (not online) and occasionally although it makes me bored - The Sims 3
No because the HDD bays are rotated 90 degrees so the connectors are inserted from behind - the case is actual quite small. You have no chance of installing a refrence HD 5870 - you'll need to modify the case and by that, I mean take the whole HDD cage out (they're not screwed - they're bolted I think) and even then, you'll only be able to put it in your second PCI-E 2.0 slot so you'll sacrifice 8 lanes (unless you have x58 or something).
Get an HD 5850 if you want this case, or a bigger case.
There may be a TINY chance you'll get it in but the cooler may make contact (or not even fit in BUT it is curved) - if it was a single slot card then it would do it with no problem (but the it'd overheat :P), however, I don't recommend getting an HD 5870 for this case UNLESS you're getting a P55 board and the top expansion slot is a PCI-E x16 2.0 rather than an x1 - I'd say *MIGHT* fit there.
This case was designed for 10.5" cards. I can't guarantee a fit for you.
@rapljwop well, i already fucked up and ordered this case with the radeon hd 5870, so now i have to find a way to get it in, do you think it would be plausible to cut off the lower cd drive bay and the top hard drive bay to make room to fit the card into the PCI-E x16 2.0?
Well, I personally wouldn't want to cut it myself. I'm not sure about the ways of doing so without causing damage. What board are you buying?
I'm also guessing you bought the refrense version of the 5870 - a Vapor-X one from Sapphire would fit though (and run cooler but be a little bit more expensive).
I've seen on the CM Storm Scout fan page forum (when I wanted to get the same combo as you) people who did things like you.
But to really be honest, I can't personally help you. Sorry :(
@JoliQuZ1 - there's no guarantee an HD 5870 will fit in this case - get a 5850 like me and if you want 5870 performance, overclock it. Otherwise get 2x 5850's for even more performance :D
Really well, Crysis patched runs at Very high at 1920x1080 with no AA (don't need it) at 35+fps in calm environments, 40=60fps indoors (like when you meet Rosenthal) and minimums of 20fps in ultra-intense situations (but I usually maintain 23fps to 26fps then),
Really quiet too - I thought the 5850 would be loud said by other reviews - yes I can hear it but it's nothing noisy - in fact, I thing that's the sound of my case fans to be honest. Enjoy playing with your HD 5870!
I have almost the same rig. I had the 5850 then switched to crossfire 4890's. The 5850 displayport wouldn't work with the 27" iMac. Very nice setup though!! Great Case!!
yeah thats what im on virgin 50mps my dad had it installed last year im getting 20mps in my room upstairs on a wireless belkin dongle which i think is really good. so do you get alot of lag then when your gaming?
NFSC rules... it's just way too short. I'm half Chinese, quarter English and quarter Dutch and born in England, plus have a cold so that may explain some of it ;)
And yes, downloading Dirt 2 from stem - I started the download at about lunchtime and as of 18:43 I've only done 41%
@MarshMellowChronic It sucks like hell! It takes ages to download large files! I usually get 1.5Mbps - 2Mbps to 2.3Mbps if I'm lucky! Speeds should increase in March though when my local telephone exchange gets the upgrade from BT.
I wish I was with Virgin Broadband on the 10Mbps or 20Mbps (the 50Mbps package doesn't concern me too much) so I could get a constant, high download speed on fibre-optic cables but only my mum decides on our provider :(
Mine pwns yours check out my rig..!..

Building a similar set-up with some differences:
GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD5P
AMD Phenom II x 4 965 BE (3.4Ghz)
1TB Hitatchi internal HD
Sapphire HD Radeon 5770
Is that case a "BIG" tower or MID tower?
