This video not only doesn't help but what you're doing is gonna get these people into lag city.

That sun didn't need all of those filters, you could have messed with the gradient of the bigger orange fade to have yet another white part in the center, or just added another gradient with a white to orange fade.

The clouds, having filters is also a terrible idea, that should be done outside and then imported as a bitmap. Vectors take a lot of ram as apposed to bitmaps.

@ifureadthisdie you're right about that but they could do this and simply export it as a image file and then reimport it, i've just shown how to draw a background in flash you don't have to really keep it in it's raw shape if you don't want to.

this stuff doesn't help us at all. this is just seeing you do the background. you could've at least make some annotations, like "next, create new layer and name it *blablabla* " or something like this. it would've helped freaking lot more people if you did that.

make a rectangle, go to color options , type: radial, and put in the colors you want

no.. its not i use macromedia and i think its exactly the same as Cs4, i like pro 8 more becuase it was the first one i used, but i think both pro 8 and mcs4 are about the same in difficulty.

the only thing that makes cs4 different from flash 8 at drawing is the brush sizes, cs4 brushes are too small and i hate that :(, might switch back to macromedia 8...
