@anurek123 You can use two hands but you would have to switch off between words, not during. The object is to type a word without lifting your finger. Lifting your finger registers the last strokes as a word. One downside is sticky and/or wet fingers. I have this same phone (Omnia II) and it can be a little frustrating to Swype after washing my hands as the screen tends to not want to let your finger slide as easily as you would want.
after using this on the mytouch, i can say that it is more useful when you're trying to text with one hand in portrait mode. it's been nearly flawless when used that way. really handy when you're multitasking and you don't need to be super accurate for it to know what u wanna say. landscape i prefer the regular keyboard
Wow ok I don't like and have never used t9 (I hate the lag when it won't spell the right word). This just looks like a novelty thing instead of actually useful. I think at best it would be useful on a touch device with a crappy touch keyboard, but I'm sure if you spell it wrong or hit the wrong letter your screwed. Swype has to be slower anyway. Why have a Qwerty and do this. I type faster on my Pre than I can type (and I do IT so both are fast.) Just looks like a gimmick that won't ketch on.
You wouldn't use this if you had an actual keyboard... this is good for touchscreen phones... I've tried it and it is day and night... the predictive algorithm is superb. It doesn't work as well on 2 letter words (ie "it " get confused for "out" alot), but the longer the word, the more flawless it gets (which makes sense).
you should prolly learn how to use a product before reviewing it. For words like 'hello' with double letters, you have to zig/wiggle through the 'L' to get it to double up.
i downloaded Swype on the Droid and its pretty incredible. Like other have said, i also thought it was too gimmicky, but after actually using it on a powerful device like the Droid, it amazing.
I had this app for my iPhone and it's a cool new way to type but it's pointless cause u can just type faster by tapping the letters, the only things it's good for is to show off to your friends that's all
maybe next time you should take ur head out of your ass before commenting and then you would realize that there have been keyboards like this for years now

if you have never used t9 how do you know if you hate it? also don't spell catch like ketch unless you are a 13 year old girl.

@muundog2006 - I wish the KB was configurable. I wish I could put the VTT button in there for max versatility.

What if your crossing over a letter and itends up counting it? That can cause lots of spelling errors...

I think the advantage isn't to be swiping whole conversations, but occasionally mixing it with normal tapping. Especially if you're using two hands.

actually there was a keyboard on WM that used the same concept that came out before the iphone was even released

this seems pointless
is it really that hard to just touch the keys? why drag your fingers?

It's supposed to also work on "regular" phone keyboards and not just qwerty ones. Which would be the impressive function of it.
