Nice playing! I just got myself an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and also have 2 Strats...an American Standard and a Squier Bullet that looks like yours...like how you made your video!
I have a epiphone les paul standard flame top left handed there great my guitar is six years old still sounds and looks awseome like i bought it yesterday good playing
I really like the sound and looks of this guitar but from what i've heard buying the honey burst and the other cherry burst or vintage sun burst is a waste of $ bc they are just stickers and will peel off eventually... Is this true?
@docB601 Yes its true.this guitar also had some tuning problems so I replaced the Epiphone for Gibson LP studio, that guitar is more solid and has also a better sound, check my latest videos
Nice sound. I wonder why no one records himself playing ska on les pauls. If you know ska stuff i would be very thankful to you if you do some ska rhythms.
Just one(maybe silly) question: why is it called "plain Top"? Is it because its top is less carved? Or does it have to do with the finish? What´s the main difference between this and the Plus top? Do you know? Thanks
@MrBlueEyes123 Oh, thank you. I had searched for and found that out. The difference is only the finish. And, because of that, the Plus top is a little bit more expensive. Thanks
Did you ever wonder why people always say that an epi sounds so damn good? I didn't understand what they meant by it until I changed my pickups out for some Seymour Duncs (Pearly Gates, I highly recommend them, it's like a pissed off sounded 59 PAF). Come to find out, the stock model pickups they stick in epis, or at least when I bought mine in 07 are identical models to Gibson 57 Classic Humbuckers, hence Alnico Classic Humbuckers. So here's a tip, don't spend 150 bucks on a set of Gibson57s
Best you can do is go to the store to find the "one" though. Because Epiphone's quality not always good, and only a select few will be great guitars. EX and plain top can be great but you have to check them
sounds awesome, great playing. i'm looking at this same guitar in either honeburst or cherryburts but can't decide which one i like more! anyway this is the same kind of music i play on guitar so this video was helpful in confirming that this guitar is very versatile. thanks for posting.

I got a honeyburst like this, StreeTRacR008 is right, I played about 14 Epiphones before I found the one that suited me, It has a small blemish above the neck pick up, but you can only tell if you examine really close. I really love that "laid-back" sound you done. Keep Jammin'
when I was single and living in New Orleans, I used to go to sleep every night with the radio on--to just this type of music.... this brings me back to a place that was magical............. you are fantastic !
the difference is only in the color. Plus Top has something like "lines/stripes/flames" in the body's guitar. the color's of plain top is completely plain. Hope you understand
you can get this for a fatter, richer tone, or you can get the tele if you prefer bright, bell like tones, it all depends on the player's personal taste
guitar is stock? if it is i want one! ;) awasome playin'!!

the difference is only in the color. Plus Top has something like "lines/stripes/flames" in the body's guitar. the color's of plain top is completely plain. Hope you understand
