  • lol i like watching at 40 seconds when the other pple float away

  • Holy shit

  • I'm not lookin' forward to my first cutaway...scares the shit outta me.

  • daym that was close..

  • I would have shit myself.

  • Thats the worst day going skydiving... /:

  • @27Juicygirl that was a good day , a bad day would have been having the main canopy get tangled up with the reserve

  • ¨FUUUuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu¨

  • it would have been more interesting if the reserve shoot released forks, knives and

    a picnic basket.

  • @Pavor4u fail joke buddy.

  • And i just learned today that if it twins i should just try to untwin it insted of using backup :( now i dont know what to do

  • @Reuben961 yeah sure, try doint that, just don't forget :

Death is WAY smarter than you !

  • skydiving would be a cool way to die, you see your death, accept your fate, and splat, you're dead.

  • holy fuck.

  • why is sky diving fun.. you are literally falling to your death and hoping someone packed the parachute correctly. your playing with your life and that is that. im not saying im scared of death but im not going to tempt it either.

  • *hey...nice [clap clap clap]...oh s**t, on no...my parachute! *

  • SHALOM VERY NICE VIDEO THANKS !!!!!!

  • Dont worry guys. those parachutes has a WARRANTY. if it fails. just use the warranty. if your still alive. :3

  • A parachute has 2 parachutes in it. If the 1st one fails then there is a 2nd. And they say the 2nd one never fails.

So why don't they just open that 2nd one first?

  • @ClutchMuchGaming Because never having it ware and tediously packing it is one of the reasons it's failure rate is lower. It's also mathematics, adding a second chute doesn't increase the odds by times two, it squares the odds.

  • @mikedamat times 2 and squaring the odds is he exact same thing when you are talking about two parachutes bro....

  • @mfa066 Not the number of parachutes, odds of both not opening. For example, if you roll a die, the chance of a six is 1/6, if you were to roll it two times, the chance of both being six is 1/36, not 1/12.

  • @mikedamat Right, I agree with you, misunderstanding in your syntax. By "times 2" I thought you meant 1/x * 1/x (multiplying the odds two times) which would be the same as squaring it. However this exercise has proved to me yet again that I really need more productive hobby than writing on youtube comment boards....

  • @ClutchMuchGaming because the first looks kooler

  • @ClutchMuchGaming lol xD that made me laught

  • @ClutchMuchGaming They say the second one never fails because there is such a low chance of the first one failing, that for the second one to fail, it must be attributed to human error. So if you were to open the reserve first... well it would fair just as often as the first one does.

  • @ClutchMuchGaming Couse the reserve parachute can be made only by the person having the rights to do this. And its about 50euro for each, so if you are rich you can do as you said ;)

  • @ClutchMuchGaming LOL! makes sense! :D

  • @ClutchMuchGaming

Because if the second doesn't open, you will never hear about it

  • @ClutchMuchGaming because some times the second parachute wont work either

  • @ClutchMuchGaming because you cant afford to have a rigger repack your reserve every jump , and only a qualified rigger can

  • @ClutchMuchGaming Probly we say the 2nd never fails because we don't use it a lot. But if the 2nd one fails after the first refuse to open, this is a very bad day. x)

  • @ClutchMuchGaming i think the 2nd chute is much more basic and less manoeuvrable and its release system is different. The main chute gets deployed and packed over and over again during the day but the reserve is only checked and packed every couple of months or so (i think) by an experienced and licensed packer. Experienced skydivers can use really small sophisticated main chutes that allow them to pull off all kinds of crazy impressive stuff! but probably at the cost of some reliability

  • @ClutchMuchGaming

cuz it will be called 1st so u will end up with only one . ha ha

  • @ClutchMuchGaming the second one can fail actually

  • the guy: haha you fail my turn damn I failed to. God would you Fuking help me please

  • Nice save

  • @humanbeer its not fake dumbass...fuck what are you thinking.. his chute didnt open so he opened his emergency shute

  • is he dead?

  • @princepunisher why should he? he opened his reserve

  • I thought you were going to use that plastic bag like thing for a chute.

  • fake

  • That's y i'd want a specially made parachute wit 3 chutes in it. 1 main + 2 reserves :P

  • At what hight SHOULD yo open ur parachute?

  • @osverval You get a pressure meter on your arm. Because there is no way you can keep track of the distance you fell

  • Hi Tim meet gravity :)

  • He was perfectly stable when he deployed and I assume it was not a packing error if he was experienced enough to be filming tandems, so any ideas why it twisted the way it did?

  • balls of steel

  • imagine if your reserve didnt work...fuck thatd suck ....like wtf would you do....id be paranoid and packing like 4 other reserve ones hahaha

  • @frankenstein04 assuming you survived to try it again haha =p

  • did u cut away as in cut the corc chute with a knife,or do u pull a quick hitch unhitch,i dont know thats why im asking, thank u

  • @d9andy992 you pull a little red pilow to the right of your rig and it disconects two cables that keep your main straps attached to your harness, after that you pull the reserve, no cutting tarzan stile.

  • @d9andy992 theres a quick release handle you pull that cuts away the main parachute

  • *inside Tim's head* OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH SHIT OH FUCKING SHIT OH SHIT

  • I really hope my reserve serves it's purpose when I eventually need it!

  • Hes like, Eww i don't like green, ill use the red one insteed ^^

  • damn, im scared of heights, and i would be so paranoid when first will fail to open, omg

  • with no doubt i would have shit myself

  • AWEEEEESOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I had that malfunction 4 times in 4000 jumps, making video.. not nice when you have cameras on your head but it's a good video to show at friends.. ehhe

  • lol yea, 4/4000 thats real good odds, still. Stay safe man

  • Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii !

  • oh my gosh..he sould be very scared...

  • if i were a richman

  • 2 things i'll never try

    1. a parachute on my ass

    2. lasic laser in my eyes

  • @milohoff88 I've tried both :p

  • this is why tim the toolman taylor dosnt pack your shute

  • danm...im going skydiving for the first time next week AFF...now im feeling a bit nervous about it...

  • Looked like a really bad line twist.......wild stuff for the student's vid! LOL

  • good drills

  • I kept yelling...PULL THE RSL...PULL THE RSL!!!! lol!!!

  • @spanishbeautyPR How can you "pull" an RSL???

  • @Prior23 you pull your RSL to release the pin and the pin releases the reserve!! Reserve Static Line

  • @spanishbeautyPR No, the main pulls your RSL to pull your Reserve. You don't pull your RSL yourself.

  • @Prior23 so that little handle on your rig thats by your chest...you dont pull that?!?!?!?!!

  • @spanishbeautyPR Yes you do pull that, it's a called a Reserve handle, this is different than the RSL. You are getting them confused... The RSL is the lanyard that attaches the main to the reserve when the main is cutaway it pulls the reserve out with it automatically. The reserve handle is for manually deploying your reserve after cutting away the main. The RSL is never "pulled" manually.

  • @Prior23 well consider myself corrected then! :)

  • No biggy! The pink reserve is there when you need it :p

  • lucky man with the backup

  • fuck what happens after thAT ONE =|

  • oh man thats some effin scary stuff

  • omg

  • that crackling noise at the end, that wasnt because of the wind or the camera ... :L

  • @rafpilotos lol

  • For a moemnt I thought the 2 person were blown to the left because of side winds but then I realized they just went slower than the cameraman and he just was on a lower level xD

  • That looks like Dunkeswell Airfield in Somerset, England.

  • oh yes:) thanks for the info

  • Severe Line twist, cut away, clean reserve open

  • watch the colour of the canopy change from green to pink orange. thats his second chute.

  • what can we see here???

  • you can see the lines twist, the main cut away, the reserve deployed.

  • jolin

  • no te cages jajajaa sino hubiese sido por la reserva...

    hasta yo e habia asustado

  • WOOOW .-)

  • id be shiting my fucking pants, it must be hard to make the decision to cut away your main all together and just pray to god that the reserve opens up.

  • The reserve is being packed in a very special way. Only certified people (riggers) can do that. This makes this risk of a reserve failure very minimal

  • they are called african americans

  • What are??

  • @noserider207 The reserve is A LOT more reliable. Reserves almost never fail They would have been unlikely to land without serious injury using the tangled chute. Releasing the reserve definitely had the best risk to reward ratio.

  • @noserider207 One needs a special training and certification to fold reserve chutes. They are much more reliable to open.

  • @noserider207 haha, trust me, when ur being spun by a malfunction like that its the easiest decision in the world.

  • sphincter was flappin there

  • Looks like a few line twists. Canopy looks good.

  • Agreed, doesn't look like a 'failure' to me either mate.

  • wooh i got an adrenaline rush just watching that!

  • Wow that must have been an OH SHIT moment for a second or two. I noticed that smile falter a bit lol

  • so, reserves must get tangled all the time too..

  • Fuking adrenaline rush, thts awesome, i skydive my self, but never had to pull the reserve must be fucking cool

  • wow lol thank the good old reserve! still i cudnt do that in a million years.

  • Whoa I already thought "dude now you're screwed" xD

  • Damn! i hope you still jump after that?

  • congrats

  • Nice cutaway. Clean and well rehearsed. Good job. Blue Skies..........BD

  • you now how saved hes life god

  • W.. What ?

  • Nice twist :)

  • that must have been scary as hell

  • 40-44 looks like that went in space

  • damn nice save

  • crap but cool

  • Same thing happened to me after only a few jumps.

Strangely enough didnt feel scared,Just remembered what the instructor taught me...Was the last time I jumped though....Did not wish to tempt fate...Blue Skies!!!

  • fuck

  • What kind of canopy? Looks cross-braced?

  • fuck i am not looking fowared to sky diving

  • then why are you going to do it? thats probably one of the dumber things ive heard.

  • cause i have balls, you cant conqure a fear without doin it just like jj4 said. Im going airborn for the airforce and need to get over that shit asap. Im basically being forced into it by my MOS, but i figured after a few times it will be nothing.

  • shut up.

  • whats with the color coding scheme? apply that in traffic it might work..

  • YAh, the blacks are turning my neighborhood into a ghetto.

  • happened to my neighborhood too

  • fuck that i would have shit myself so much i wouldnt have been able to find the reserve parachute lol

  • textbook. wow!

  • nice twist^^

  • mike mcgill style!

  • Textbook cutaway...nicely done.

  • lucky!

  • Nice Job! Made the decision early and got the reserve open with plenty of altitude to spare.

And the camera guy lives to jump another day...

  • Something similar happened to my uncle's skydiving instructor except he got his hand caught when the two lines twisted. He broke his leg on impact because he pulled the reserve so late but he's still jumping today.

  • to hell with what color it! it did its job. i saw a vid on here with a guy that deployed his reserve before cutting the main lose. at least this guy knows how to save himself

  • well that pink one saved his life!

  • A pink parachute... Couldnt he chose a green 1 -.-
