I guess i just find it slightly weird when i see Dick Van Dyke being all serious in some scenes. As i'm used to seeing him all smiley, and sarcastic. Glad he got to act in a soap drama. It shows a different perspective of what he can achieve :)
Diagnosis murder was my favorite show ever since I was a little girl.We need more actors like Dick Van Dyke now these days. Most these new actors have no real talent and have no education.Dick Van Dyke will always be remembered.
I LOVE DM! My grandma got me hooked! When I moved to Okinawa, Japan with my family, she would tape them and send them to me! Oh that made me so happy. I still have the tapes and watch them.
I remember watching this show when i was 14, when we didnt have cable really for a few months due to certain circumstances. And i used to watch this show and completely forgot, now i see it again and im like OMG!!!
Many thanks for uploading the original pilot movie; I enjoyed the series itself, but those first few movies remain among my favorites from the entire run of Diagnosis Murder -- such a pity they're not to be found on any of the DVD collections (last I checked).
What happened to CBS!?!? They used to have the best shows!!! This, JAG, Walker Texas Ranger...I could go on and on. I mis this show so much- thanks for posting!
i use to watch this show since i was BORN with my mom and now im 13 and we have to start thinking wat we might want to do with our futures i am being a doctor. not for the money for helping people ( yes im serious) and i remember when i was about 5 i would diagnose how the person died ,what disease it was, who did it ..... i also think dick van dyke is a brilliant actor and when he is older looks good in a moustache (sp?)
@CI5AgentSweeps Pilot episode was actually an episode of Jake and the Fatman where the character of Dr. Mark Sloan was introduced. In that episode the character had no children.
Disappointing they did not include these movies on the Season 1 DVD set (although they were technically separate from the season...). I hope when they release all of seasons they do release a box set of all of the TV movies.
Thank you SO much for posting all of these awesome episodes and now for the 1st DM movie! I haven't been able to see this show for 3 years (due to moving and channels not being avaliable), only my 1 tape with 4 episodes and the newly released DM 1st season DVD! You have made my day! BTW, I am OBSESSED with this show!
Am I right in assuming that this acted as the series pilot ?

This is one of my favourite mystery shows ever! But does anyone have any insight as to why only the first 3 seasons were released on DVD?

This was the last acting appearance of Bill Bixby before dying of cancer the next year in 1993.

Others played Amanda and Jack before Scott Baio and Victoria Rowell were cast.

I'm so happy to see Bill Bixby in what was sadly his last ever role :(. Imagine what he could have accomplished if he hadn't passed away in '93.
RIP Bill Bixby.
