i love the mechanical tone on the carson its almost as good as the real thing you even hear a slight chopper sound from it ans its funny to see all the people looking for the big red truck lol
in my pov a f-350 i run a eq2b a powercall plus a fedsig touchmaster delta and to piss people off a fed q2b and two grover 30 inch airhorns it is really unecessary but it is fun i have a vid of my dads pov up so check it out none of mine because the sirens are to loud to activate for no reason i did once and got complaints from the neighbor hes the person that thinks that even pd cars a fire trucks shouldent have sirens but what are you gunna do
Well on youtube I've heard some Carsons that sound crappy and then some like this vid that sound comparable to fire engine sirens. I figured the only variable could be speakers...but now that I think about it camera mics could make one sound crappy i guess....
@shane5866 you could, if you had 2 sirens and 2 speakers. personaly i have 3. a powercall, pa300, and the ghostbusters siren, but i use that to annoy my neighbors XD
Sounds great, I am looking for a good deal on one of these for my old fire engine I use in parades, a real Q is out of budget and the mechanical on this sounds great!
I paid $175 for the siren from a local dealer, no tax and shipping was included. I already had the speaker. I really like the mechanical tone, it's not bad for being simulated.
I have one of these installed in my car for my volunteer fire department. Hands down my favorite things are the mechanical tone, the momentary phaser (NYPD style), and the manual control over the yelp so you can just chirp it at night when behind a car.
LOVE THE SIREN.....mechanical effect sounds great for it to be imitated

yeah, the camera makes a huge difference,,,but im pretty sure most siren speakers are all within the same noise and db tone

@thedifferentelement any 100 watt speaker will give the same result sound quality wise.

Can you play 2 tones at once? like Yelp and the mechanical?
Shane5866 3 years ago
no, single tone only. which sucks. i'd love to use mechanical with wail or yelp.
