The drummer's career was over when he started waving the sticks like a magic wand at 1:45. I heard all serious musicians blackballed him after that. Or maybe he had blueballs or something like that.
Fantastic, takes me right back to the 60's. I knew Tony Lander, lead guitar, quite well & with a group of friends went to many of their gigs around the Harrow area where they were based. Gillan & Glover went on to achieve great success with Deep Purple but Episode Six themselves never really achieved the success they richly deserved. They were very talented and had a varied repertoire - check out their cover of Charles Aznavour's "I will warm your heart" which featured Sheila - it's excellent.
this is probably the only filmed footage of Episode Six in existance and it's a well hippy. two great songs. but you have to listen to Slow Down to see how heavy and free form they could be. Listening to Slow Down you can see how Blackmore & Lord got interested in Gillan
Brilliant video, i have seen a bit of this before i think it's on the Rock Pioneers video, why they never made the charts in the UK is beyond me. Nice one KKJABE
Thanks for this-- a real blast from my teenage past... two of the band members (Graham & Sheila) were our neighbours and we were all rooting for their success. Later, Roger Glover, Ian Gillan & Ian Paice all moved on to Deep Purple.
I am so glad he decided to join deep purple after watchin this

Strange this group didn't hit it bigger than they did.
If you listen to their collection, there was some decent material.
