  • I've been trying to create an ENGLISH AUDIO DUB for the cut scenes and all other scenes involving voiced interactions. I've run into a snag though. I can't find any1 who knows how to get ONLY the audio files from the games base directory. Cuz without them, I'll only be able to dub over the cinematic sequences. I've already assembled a tiny cast, but since I'm a guy, I need LADIES who'd like to try some voice acting out for fun. SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW FOLKS!! I AM BEGGING HERE FOR GOD-SAKES!! lol

  • The overall music is not the same, it does have a very simular type of drum beat though.

  • I remeber reading about this game in GameFan, I thought this would be a neat game to play and was kind of hoping they would release in the U.S. I think due to poor sales of Snatcher in the US (only 2000 copies sold), Konami was very scared to receive another point n click game that would be a marketing diaster for them. Oh well

  • The patch is finally out! Been waiting a looong time for this to happen... too lazy to learn japanese.

  • Love the game. Konami should burn for not releasing this in the states.

  • ポリスノーツ

  • sounds like chrono trigger intro music.

  • then chrono trigger copied policenauts.Cause policenauts was waaaay b4 CT

  • I personally don't care one bit who copied who but...

Chrono Triggerwas released 03/11/95 according to gamefaqs, and Policenauts for 3DO was in 1995 as well

  • I'm pretty sure that policenaughts takes place after snatcher but in any event I'd love to find a way to play this game even if the japanese dialog was subtitled. I just don't think an english version exists.

  • its a completely different universe but like snatcher it has its ties to mgs it has an apperance by merryl haha

  • I heard that Policenaut's is the prequal to SNATCHER for the SegaCD which I have a emulator and a SNATCHER ISO.

  • 懐かしくて涙出た

  • wish I was able to play this back then.

  • I dont know this game but i have seen it in MGS1

  • The poster, right? Meryl originally came from this game, Snake's real name was from a character in this game; Dave Forrest. Also Jim Houseman's face is obviously based upon Gatse Becker. In MGS4, Jonathan and Ed are in the game, and Drebin and his pet monkey are both addicted to the drink, Narc; which is a drug used in Policenauts.

Kojima loves to include references from his previous games into his popular games like Metal Gear. Policenauts is said to be Kojima's personal favourite of his works.

  • Yeah and also he included a video shown when snake and otacon have their first meeting. I didnt know about all that, but i know that kojima is the best gamming director. He tries to please everyone by adding such things in the game. Thanks for replaying=)

  • i think its cnarc in mgs

  • all we cna do is cry that we are never be able to play this in english ;(

  • What the hell are you talking about? Have they cancelled the translation?

  • pretty much yes :(

  • Where did they say this? There's no indication on their site of this news.

  • So they didn't cancel it. Why did you say they had? We can play this, we just have to wait a bit longer. You annoyed me there. Why lie?

  • He's lying. It's still being worked on.

  • @drunkensailor112 Blame the idiots behind the 3DO who thought "Plumbers Don't Wear Ties" & "Night Trap" would be better than Policenauts...

  • @TimelordR 3do didn't bring out plumbers don't wear ties. konami in the end didn't think it was wise to translate it in english, and for that we can blame konami

  • @drunkensailor112 Well when you have a great game called Snatcher, and everyone reviewing in the USA tells you Snatcher is a great game, but Snatcher sells pathetically, you don't ordinarily decide to spend more money marketing a sequel to Snatcher. No matter how many people tell you how great it is.

  • I'd say it is as violent as Snatcher, from what I have played of it. There's more shooting scenes in Policenauts, that much I know.

  • Is this game as violent as snatcher or its even more violent?

  • But it's a little more dramatic than Snatcher, I think.

  • Wow!
