Cohen is extremely good at writing sketch length gags, but clearly not at weaving feature length narratives. Borat had many brilliant moments, but the fact that they tried to tie it all together with some flimsy "Borat falls in love with Pamella Anderson which leads him on a wacky cross country trek" plot was disappointing.
