u need to cut your 112 call within 2 sec not within 3. make sure you press call and end straight away. do not wait 2 sec. It should than work

someone probably already mentioned but you do have to wait 15 seconds AFTER it boots up. you're actually suppose to wait until you see 1 signal bar. its not 15 seconds for the "soft to boot"

i've had issues with my gevey on 4.10.0 (4.3.3 and 5beta 1) but was able to get it working by following a different procedure..

1. insert gevey and turn on your phone.

2. wait for 1 signal bar

3. dial 112 and hang up after 3-4 seconds.

4. turn airplane mode on and LEAVE IT ON.

5. wait for SIM message. hit ok

6. turn airplane mode off. you will get 2 messages. hit ok.

7. wait for 1 signal bar.

8. quickly turn on airplane mode and turn it off.

9. wait for your network.

@videobleep No I have iOS 5 beta 1 and every time i try to jailbreak it, safari stops working.

Make sure "Enable 3G", "Cellular Data", and "Data Roaming" are all on. After you dial 112 make sure all 3 are still on. I found that for some reason the phone would turn one of those off sometimes after dialing 112 and that caused the trick not to work.

I'm not sure if I have an original gevey or not tho. So it might not work for some with different versions.

I had The exact same problem.....

I fixed it by activating my phone with samprefs from cydia....

if u have a original sim try activating the phone with that!!

I have the At&T iphone4 and living in Saudi Arabia..They will work if you have the orginal one and good service around..2nd thing if ur phone does not show any bar nor the Accept menu after switching the phone ON..>>1st thing u do just switch Airplane Mode on ,,then remove the sim with gevey..then press ok for No Sim..then Switch Airplane Mode off then press ok for the sim Failuar or No sim..then inserte the sim with gevey >>few seconds the bar will apper ,,then the Accepet menu..there u go.

I've got Gevey Pro and it also does not work with 4.3.2 bb04.10.01 and also fuckers from applenberry say it works with this firmware what a lot of bolox!!!

Wont work for me either! I started off with a jailbroken phone, 4.3.2 bb 04.10.01. Tried it 10+ times. Decided to unjailbreak it and try that. Another 10+ times.... auggh!!!!!!!

Word of advice mate: your on Vodafone, call vodafone and they will unlock the handset for you for £10 - just make sure you have 10£ on your vodafone sim, then call the CS and tell then you want to unlock you handset, they'll take your IMEI number and in couple days you'll have your vodafone phone unlocked, same as with 02, only its 15£ with them, and Orange forget it, they dont unlock it, unless you use the phone with them for 3 months then pay 20£ hope it helps.

You need to download the newest redsn0w from dev-team blog. Then install Cydia, which hacktivates the iPhone bypassing the emergency call screen. You don't dial 112 until you see the |... signal bar.

Gevey sim card is not working whit iOS 4.3.1 you need to downgrade your iPhone to iOS 4.2 it will work ;)

@FreeTipsNoTricks try to update it to 4.3.1 and use the new untether jailbreak from redsn0w 0.9.6 RC6 it will work for you hopefully good luck.;)

How long have you had ur current sim that u cut? I had mine for a long time and was not able to use the gevey. I bought a new one today and realized the gold part on the new one was slightly smaller than the gold part on the old one. I cut it up, put it in, and FINALLY have the phone working after waiting 3 months.

@FreeTipsNoTricks: ok my friend. look like ur phone was jailbroken with the tethered. So now, all you need to do is resotre it with the original firmware download from itunes. And then jailbreak it with redsn0w0.9.6rc12 which is an untethered jailbreak. After that do all process again :)

P/S: ur baseband is 4.10 now, so u just restore it directly from itunes, from a fresh firmware, don't use custom firmware :). Good luck

@FreeTipsNoTricks : if u save ur shsh with tinyumbrella, remember to change ur hosts file to normal, by go to C:\Windowns\System32\drivers\e­tc\host, open it with notepad (run as adminitrator) and delete all lines with gs.apple.com (or pur # in front of these lines). Because u have lastest baseband and firmware, so u don't have to care about it, restore directly from apple server. Good luck :)

it will not work on jailbroken iphone first restore it and then try it will work surely and if u want to jailbreak then do untethered jailbreak and do the process again

You need to restore you phone to factory setting and try it again before you criticize the #GeveySim. Quote from applenberry website ☛ "If your iPhone 4 has custom firmware, the GEVEY Sim adapter will not work. You must restore your iPhone 4 to the original iPhone 4 Firmware."

@FreeTipsNoTricks Post a video of this because it should working. I'm on the same baseband and iOS firmware as you and the only time I had a problem was when I jailbroke my firm with sn0wbreeze. I tested it on both 4.2.1 and 4.3.1 and it worked fine and is still working.

@FreeTipsNoTricks I don't know what your problem is from here. Did activate the phone with the original sim card first, after you restored? Also make sure that the "Please Connect to iTunes" message goes away from on the screen. Connect the phone go iTunes so it can go away, it shouldn't tell you "Different Sim Detected" and another thing is you are suppose to wait 15 seconds before you dial 112.

It's normal that it doesn't work becquée you have custom firmware on tour iPhone 4. You have to restore your iPhone with iTunes. And it'll work perfectly. You don't read the las t update or the gevey website. Go to faq you'll see that custom firmware are not supported.
