I'm curious about one thing. When someone talks about returning to a national gold standard, why is it that the response is a "return to the dark ages"?
What's so strange about backing and maintaining money with a set stable value so it can't be inflated?
I love the way he answers without fear, the only honest politician. I will write him in if I need to and I encourage everyone else to do the same. I truly feel he is our only hope to create a just society, one that values all peoples.
I'll take Ron Paul's stand and probably will not vote in the general election. My allegiance remains solid to conservative, Christian ideals, not to the Republican Party. The Party system is very similar to a brothel and either way the election boils down, a liberal will be in the Whitehouse. Obama will not pull out of Iraq- he has already backpeddled... completely ignored by the media. Oh well.
I would bet every penny I have that Ron will not support any of the current candidates. MAYBE, just MAYBE Huckabee, but they are all WAY too "big government" for him to support. Especially Obama.

if you've watched all the ron paul videos like I have for the past 8 months or so, you've probably noticed how visibly tired and weak Paul has become over the past month or so. I hope that all of this campaigning isn't too draining on him. Maybe he needs to change his diet and get more exercise! Well Ron Paul is the only major candidate that is not ruled by the establishment. Making him a great threat to the establishment. That's why the media is ignoring him. But you are absolutely correct when you say that the other candidates love power over other peoples lives, while Ron Paul is a sensible leader. The other candidates have sold them out to big business and the establishment, they make the rules and the president follows them. We need Ron Paul and we demand liberty.

don't worry about the polls. they are BS. either they are based on past repubs who voted in previous elections or the poll simply does not include ron paul. what we need to be looking at is the amount of support that ron recieves from individuals and new voters. ron's message and his record are much stronger than every other candidate. nearly everyone who is introduced to ron becomes a supporter!! remember this and spread the word.
I was glad to hear Ron say that he knows some people will take a hit if/when the govt takes on a smaller role. But thats a sacrifice people should embrace! The govt makes up a new agency or organization every week and those people get a job with great benefits while people trying to survive on a single income get slaughtered because of inflation...a direct result of unecessary wars!
Huckabee's meteoric rise in the past month or so has me convinced that the media is trying to get him elected because they know he doesn't have a chance to get any independent or swing voters...he is far too religious. They don't want Ron Paul to get the GOP nomination because he is the most likely to attract independent and swing voters - and of course Republicans would vote for him if it was between him and Hillary.
What frustrates me is why he is lagging in the poles so much. Huckabee, Romney, Giulani are all way ahead. I've heard the argument that Ron Paul hasn't gotten a fair chance in the surveys and polls, but has he been left out of all of them?
My point is he needs to get his voice heard much better than it is now, when people hear him they will be convinced.
The last CNN poll I saw Ron was at 7%, tied w/McCain but behind Huckabee, Romney, and Rudy. But the fine print at the bottom shows that the poll is only based on phone calls to 230 or so Republicans who voted in the last election. We can see that many of Ron's supporters did not bother to vote for Bush in the last election and therefore not being polled.
Remember there was (and will never be) a revolution that the media will talk about, until it's to late. It is OUR revolution not theres, and to tell the truth I like it like that and I wouldn't change it for the world. Because in the end whenever President Paul becomes our nation's leader we will already know who is for us, and who is against us

You need to research what a dollar is. A dollar is backed by gold or silver(see article 1 sec. 10 of the US constitution. We haven't had a dollar for a long time. What we have now (federal reserve notes), are private bank notes.

And he's absolutely right. The federal government, whether you think it's a "weak cop out" or not, is unable to efficiently legislate law that will be fair in all situations. The states, and perhaps even more localized governments, are better situated to govern their specific communities.

if you've watched all the ron paul videos like I have for the past 8 months or so, you've probably noticed how visibly tired and weak Paul has become over the past month or so. I hope that all of this campaigning isn't too draining on him. Maybe he needs to change his diet and get more exercise! Lol but look how spunky he is in this video compared to how he is when he speaks now.

People who care about principles 'n not just the usual politic, please research all the candidates and vote. This is the 1st time I bother to donate and register to vote because of RP.
A person like RP may come once in every 100 years. RP is a sincere and honest candidate who speaks like it is, not like the other typical candidates with just sound good and empty promise. Well Ron Paul is the only major candidate that is not ruled by the establishment. Making him a great threat to the establishment. That's why the media is ignoring him. But you are absolutely correct when you say that the other candidates love power over other peoples lives, while Ron Paul is a sensible leader. The other candidates have sold them out to big business and the establishment, they make the rules and the president follows them. We need Ron Paul and we demand liberty.

Too many times in history, great nations and people have willingly gone into tyranny and now we are seeing it happen here. My point is that people all around the USA have the impression that all the problems faced with the Bush administration will be fixed by Hillary or Obama. Most people have totally lost their trust in the republican party and I don't blame them. All the candidates in the republican party want more war and tyranny. Hillary is run by the same people and organizations as Bush is, they just deal with the PR differently and they stand differently on small issues that don't really matter.

I like your 1st point allot! It's right on the money. But the second point is maybe incorrect. As I see things it just doesn't matter what people think or how they vote. The elections are rigged! That's my point. We need to force a situation where we get to oversee them at EVERY stage. Of course no one sane or awake wants Hitlery to win. But it's in the works. They're going to rig it so that it looks like a close race between Hitlery and McCain with Hitlery as the eventual winner.

I do think that is not true at all. Paul is for helping those on welfare by cuting the spending over seas. He says that we can help these people by cuting down this policing the world empire which is true. Start at home first. There is no need to sacrifice our freedoms and liberty's. don't worry about the polls. they are BS. either they are based on past repubs who voted in previous elections or the poll simply does not include ron paul. what we need to be looking at is the amount of support that ron recieves from individuals and new voters. ron's message and his record are much stronger than every other candidate. nearly everyone who is introduced to ron becomes a supporter!! remember this and spread the word.

Huckabee's meteoric rise in the past month or so has me convinced that the media is trying to get him elected because they know he doesn't have a chance to get any independent or swing voters...he is far too religious. They don't want Ron Paul to get the GOP nomination because he is the most likely to attract independent and swing voters - and of course Republicans would vote for him if it was between him and Hillary.

What frustrates me is why he is lagging in the poles so much. Huckabee, Romney, Giulani are all way ahead. I've heard the argument that Ron Paul hasn't gotten a fair chance in the surveys and polls, but has he been left out of all of them?
My point is he needs to get his voice heard much better than it is now, when people hear him they will be convinced.

The last CNN poll I saw Ron was at 7%, tied w/McCain but behind Huckabee, Romney, and Rudy. But the fine print at the bottom shows that the poll is only based on phone calls to 230 or so Republicans who voted in the last election. We can see that many of Ron's supporters did not bother to vote for Bush in the last election and therefore not being polled.

take place before they were legal, and that was ok in some circumstances, and his interview with

You need to research what a dollar is. A dollar is backed by gold or silver(see article 1 sec. 10 of the US constitution. We haven't had a dollar for a long time. What we have now (federal reserve notes), are private bank notes.

Let's see if we can get an honest man into office. I for one am tired of politicians who don't have any personal beliefs, Ron Paul has been consistent with his beliefs and they make sense. Not one other candidate strikes me as honest.

He was very dishonest of The View (Dec. 4) and wouldn't admit his position on abortion until they cornered him. He answered their very direct questions with ludicrous questions of his own, eventually suggesting there's no difference between an abortion in the first month and one in the 8th month, then retreated behind "let the states decide"--he sounded like a typical texas politician to me

Ron Paul expressed his beliefs on abortion very clearly in a "60 Minutes" interview, where he said:
"The more complex an issue is, the more localized the solution should be."
And he's absolutely right. The federal government, whether you think it's a "weak cop out" or not, is unable to efficiently legislate law that will be fair in all situations. The states, and perhaps even more localized governments, are better situated to govern their specific communities.

RON PAUL is the real deal. I personally believe he needs to get a bit more aggressive in debates and point out the flaws and blatant hypocrisies of his opponents (like one interviewer suggested). That being said- GREAT VIDEO! This is his zone, his honesty shines through here and it's something any voter should see.
