Not really. I just bought my 74' stingray for $3500 and all it needs is a tuneup, new front and rear bumpers, and a edelbrock carb (I hate that friggin Holly)
Total cost of restoration is about $13,000 which is nothing compared to a brand new vehicle that gets you NO onlookers or compliments......
I saw your other vid of the transformation and saw u stripped her yourself, did you do the prep and paint too? I found this color on HOKs site and decided to use it on my 75 'vette then youtubed the kolor and found ur car..freak'n sweet... I'm thinking about an L-88 hood though I do love the stinger! Also, If u painted it yourself how hard was it to blend? Did you use the True candy process or the shimrin base w/ a clear? I'm on CorvetteForum if u want to send back on there username Bryanpl123
There's never been a car as good looking as the '70s Stingray. The new Corvettes haul ass and are the fastest cars under $100K, but they don't look anywhere near as good as the '70s Stingrays. (Especially not that new concept Corvette.) Someone needs to tell Chevy that movie tie-ins are just for little plastic toys.
No mods are needed with this set-up. 255/50/17 on 17x8 wheels is equivalent to the 225/70/15 stock wheel and tire. Off-set is 5x4.75 bolt pattern and 4 inch back spacing. Good luck with the '76.
@curtiscorvette74 OH MY GOD THAT 74 TRULY IS A THING OF BEAUTY. THERE IS A VETTE THAT SAME YEAR AND THE GUY IS ASKING 5 GRAND FOR IT. IS THAT A GOOD PRICE?
when i turn 16 i want to get this car. i saw one with a silver thing on the back, behind the seats and have no clue what it is. obviously you know about cars so i was just wondering if you would know what i'm talking about?
Good luck and hope you get one someday! Not too sure what you are talking about as there are many types of Corvettes and that is a pretty vague clue you gave, "silver thing"??? Could be a single loop roll bar behind the seat on a convertible.
Good eye! Yes they did when they left the factory. However, I was never a big fan of that look so I went with a solid rear fiberglass which is much better then the plastic bumpers.
That is one sweet colour green, the rims are perfect! What a beauty!

very nice! did you need to modify your suspension to fit those 17 x 8 wheels
on? Also, what offset did you use on the wheels? Hope my 76 looks as good when completed.

@curtiscorvette74 Silver thing could be a luggage rack, most likely.
