I find it funny when people criticize Obama for spending in order to combat this recession. Apparently these critics don't know their American history. FDR used a similar strategy in order to bring this country out of the Great Depression. He too was critisized by many at the time. Fortunately, FDR's New Deal was a great success and he is now regarded as one of the finest US presidents.

FDR used a similar strategy in order to bring this country out of the Great Depression. He too was critisized by many at the time. Fortunately, FDR's New Deal was a great success and he is now regarded as one of the finest US presidents.

Oh yeah but when people show up at hospitals with an emergency they have to be covered so I guess we fill that right and a lot of the people who don't have insurance are 18-34 who decide not to get it. So I'd rather have that than having a sixth month waiting period for OPTIONAL SURGERY. Bottom line is that we have everything that they have, and spending 1 trillion dollars on a Public Option which will destroy the private option.The last I looked the government isn't good at running anything.

Ok but did you know that the average poor person in America has a house with the same average sq. footage as an average Frenxh person's house. That's average French. Our poor about 90% of the time have homes. So compared to a lot of the world our poor have it alright. And only 0.07% of our population is chronicaly homeless. Most Americans believe in Traditional values and are opposed to radically changing this country into France or Sweden. People may differ on economic policies like how much rich people should pay in taxes or what the government should do but not redefine traditional institutions like marriage. There is a bit of a double standard I guess in the news stations (Fox News, MSNBC), but with Fox, they keep trying to say they are fair and balanced. It's on their freaking logo. MSNBC obviously has no problems hiding their liberal bias. In that regard, I think you gotta give Mathews and MSNBC credit. They're still painfully biased. I'd rather watch CNN. I just want them to shut up about twitter.

Matthews is not objective, and really no one is, because that term is relative. Matthews is a liberal, if you are a liberal minded person, it is no surprise you find his message appealing.

We must be watching a different Chris Matthews. The one I watch is an extreme liberal partisan who brings his A game for Republicans but lets his liberal guest slide and never ask hard questions. You really need to educate yourself on the issues and develop better critical thinking skills. I would be happy to send you some links to some good books on amazon on politics and critical thinking.

I honestly want to give him a chance. I really wanted him to govern from the center left like Bill Clinton but he has already moved to the far left on almost every issue.
