My AP European History class is appalled at the grammar and capitalization of this video. I, on the other hand, did not even notice the mistakes.

Conversation bewteen a 12 year old boy and his mother, one in 1911 another in 2011. In 1911: After a bad case of pneumonia, son says "Mom, I am sorry I had pneumonia. I will work twice as hard to make up for it." Mother says "Please son do not go out in the rain and sell papers." Son walks out the door and says "I love you mom." In 2011: While playing a computer game, son says, "Mom why didn't you cut the crust off my bread? Mother says "I am sorry" Son replies "Damn you!!"

This is perhaps the most disingenuous lesson given in schools today. School books, erring on the side of simplicity, fail to frame this period in a proper context, and as a consequence students are left with the impression that long hours, unsafe working conditions, low pay, and unsanitary living conditions were something new to children; that this was was all brought about by the Industrial Revolution. Nothing could be farther from the truth. This was the norm, not the exception......

nice effort I hope this was a high school project. While child labor isn't wright ( ( right, write ) maybe some of us would have more sucess ( success ) if we just did what they did , instead of just righting ( writing ) stupid stuff on youtube, let's get back to work america. Kids and everyone.
