He was so entranced with a chinese book which i believe is the Universe of the 4 gods & then they later meet that winter in the book, Taka being in his past form as Tamahome.
Okay, I'm seeing a love triangle with Chichiri's and his 2 friends in the past... If they had only had a threesome, none of this would've happened -_-
