too slow. bruce springsteen's version is better. it's more fun. this song is supposed 2 b a party song. not a ballad. For You worked very well in a sad sounding arrangement, blinded by the light sort of did, but this just duznt.

its true, the boss wrote it and recorded it in 1973 and its debut was on his album Greetings from Asbury Park N.J. manfred man later did the same song and it appeared in their 1975 album "Nightingales and Bombers" this goes for both songs "spirit in the night" and "blinded by the light"

@gotwix66man he is actually called the boss because in his early years he payed his bandmembers and so they called him just as joke "the boss" and this just became his nickname. but i prefere the original too, but this is not bad.

@Visitor90visitor I don't think Manfred Mann has ever written an original tune , Going all the way back to the 60's . Yes Bruce Springsteen wrote Spirits in the Night . But TyGui7 Has some kind of Boss sentiment going on . Because Manfred Mann Does Springsteen better than Springsteen ever could.... period !
