Aro'Kai will allow you to play as many animals. Dragons, birds, felines, canines, bears, deer, and even griffins! Best part: it's free. So instead of paying for this game, just wait for Aro'Kai. It'll be out eventually. Just not sure when. It's been in production for a while...but it probably won't be out for some time. But it's something to look forward to rather than this.

i would play this if it wasnt for them trying to get a few bucks out of people that want to be dragons. thats going pretty low to cut off just because we dont want to pay for a game with crappy graphics for  the dragonsanyways.

Yeah my friend made fun of WoW for the longest time because of it's monthly fee and now she plays Istaria and pays the same monthly fee just because she loves dragons.

@romanrofi This video was done in 2008 on a computer not updated since 2004 when I purchased a 32MB graphics card that was out of stock, so they sent a 64MB graphics card instead. Other then that most of the computer was probably not updated since 2001.

@totrice You just pick that Dragons as a race when starting a game. (Note humans are the only race pickable on the 'free version' of the game).

@totrice The full version of the game costs 15 dollars a month, and you have 5 character slots and any of them can be dragons (you could have 5 dragons).

if it weren't for the dragons this game totally sucks the devs who made this game still have a 7 year old engine and they need to do what BOI did Control wise.

what does a lair do for you? is it just a cool add on?

If you collect items and put them in your lair it can add stats to your Dragon.

If this game were free to downlaod and play, they would have HUNDREDS of thousands of players. There idioticly crappy system of monthly pay prevents many people from bothering to play. I play the trial, then I have to forget about such a great game, the ONLY MMORPG i found with a dragon character and a werebeast character.

The company is resilient. I think that they should continue as they already have gone this far. And Scyth, when any new game is created, there are a lot of staff members that only stay until the game is released, so the people that have created this game years ago are different than the ones here now.

Sure you can run it on a Vista OS. Go to properties and run compatibility mode for XP or earlier.

Actually I have Vista and I can play just fine. Works great with Internet Explorer 7, but doesn't work at all with Firefox (sadly). Come to think of it...Istaria runs *better* on my Vista machine than my XP machine, strangely enough. Everything else works terrible on Vista though, lol!

I got the graphics card just for the game in 2004. Otherwise this computer has no new hardware since 2001.
