Stop hating guys.... when the show aired in the 70's, it was dubbed in English... I remember Junie Gamboa's voice as Dr. Hook. So the networks decided to do an English versionof the songs as well. I remember this one... also the opening theme's english version was recorded by the pinoy teen group known as The Nail Clippers.... the song actually was translated well. it is actually a father's song to his kids... wishing that even though he won't be around, they should follow their dreams....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is just a fan dub. The original ending of the Filipino Voltes V was Japanese, as far as I know.

The meaning of the song in nihongo is 'Searching for Dad' how come they came up with this English version? It's absolutely NOT a translation-- the lyrics are different from the Japanese version.

At least they tried. Modern dubs just leave the signing in Japanese. It's not a bad thing, but I think they should try to make it in English if they can. They did those two song in Haruhi, I don't see why they couldn't do the opening and the ending as well.
