  • ok, got it.. worked fine, sweet :) Thank you. Now how to get the app on my iPod touch running iOS 3.1.3 ? What settings do I need to configure for that?

  • @Sagar13iffy i would not know that to far back i started on 4.0

  • @TheNewMacintosh Ok, the XCode I downloaded today came for iOS 5.0. How can I make apps for iOS 4.0 or 4.2 (anything other than iOS5.0)..Any idea..??

  • @Sagar13iffy if it set in xcode for 4.0 or 4.2 you can make the app for that as long as your iphone or ipad is on that it should work

  • @TheNewMacintosh Where/How?? Any particular build settings do I need to configure or what??

  • is it possible to install the app without a jailbreak

  • Works great! Thanks!

  • It works perfectly! You know, it is seldom a youtube video can really solve the technical problem. Thank you.

  • Does work with apple sdk 4.3 THANK YOU!

  • What about IOS 5.01??? Any workaround??

  • Does this still work with the latest copies of Xcode and iTunes? I have Xcode 4.1 and iTunes 10.5 but it keeps deselecting my app when I sync to my iPod Touch.

  • @journeyfor65roses you need app sync from cydia

  • Thanks man! After months i've got my own app on my iPhone : )

  • The "B" of BAM here! This also works on Xcode 4.2 and the iOS 5 SDK.

  • This doesn't work. When I clicked build after following the steps it said that code signing is required ;[

  • @gabelew make shore that you save the fils when your in the dev folder

  • @TheNewMacintosh Thanks, I got it working!

  • Oh wait nevermind. When I try syncing it with iTunes it just says my app 'failed to install'

  • Thank you very much.

I'm using a Hackbook Air with vanilla Lion and an ipod Touch 2G. Although the apps I'm currently making are very basic I'd like to be able to install them to my iPod through Xcode and not through iTunes, aso I'd like to be able to debug them on my iPod. Can this be done ? If anybody knows a way to do this please let me know.

  • how can I debug my app ? I get the error: Error Starting Executable 'App'

  • @st4011 i never got that error or heard of it sorry

  • @st4011

I received it too, but the app was installed on my device and works great!!!

  • how to you send your apps to cydia

  • @thetechfixer you go to modmyi and make a account with them and go to Dev Portal tab and fill out the info and add your app and screen shots and 3-5 days your app will be in cydia

  • will this ruin my xcode??

  • Thanks ! If there is also a way to debug on the device, let me know!

  • When I SSH the app on it crashes when I open.

When I try to sync it thru iTunes it kicks back an error. Any help?

  • @JDRSqrd try app sync in cydia
