last word on this...hate the auto tune but if you listen to the opening vocal there is none, it is used as a musical instrument to enhance the build of emotion, if that is not understood then something within the song is missing from you, as is the context of the lyric

@SallyRandomness like what i said in another comment, it's to juxtapose the emotion in the lyrics and also to hold up the sound i maintain through this album. my vocals aren't always great, but genuinely, out of all tracks on my album this is my best sung before the effects. but, to me, it sounds even better with it. makes the voice sound emotionless against pretty strong meaningful lyrics.
