Robin Hood of Sherwood, the best ever. I was a small boy when I first watched this in 1990. Still I haven't seen any thing like that. Now I am a grown man, and those actors have grown old. Some have died already. I feel so sad some times when I watch this now.
The Strange thing about the track Strange Land. It is by far the best Clannad track all categories it got a lot of play time during the show. But still its ignored by the group and in all best of albums and "Robin Hood themed" concerts.. I don't understand why....

very good tv-show...loved it when I was a kid...a year ago I watched all 3 seasons again and was once again reminded of how great it was :) the music was magical!
I just wish show time had not pulled out and the 4th and final season of this fantastic show had been able to be filmed to see what their take on the end of it would be. There is a few unanswered questions at the end of the 3rd season I always wished would have been resolved but sadly will never be.
this was a wonderful series and the series and especially the film with Kevin Costner that followed were pale in comparison. Of course the wonderful music added much to the magic of it.

The best Robin Hood series ever made, it's repeated now and again on ITV3 or ITV4 and I love it. Take your modern remakes and shove them up your ass cause you aint ever beating this series lol. A perfect combination of actors, writers and musicians at the right time, in the right place. it can never be bettered or even equaled.

Thank You for posting this! I loved this show and watched it all the time back in the 80's on my local PBS station. Clannad's music and "Robin" were meant for each other....they fit together beautifully!

This show is still one of my favorites, i just wish that Michael Praed would have stayed in the role of Robin Hood, unfortunately i did not like Jason Connery in his role, whatever the chars name was, i don´t remember it atm. Clannad´s Legend cd might be their best one imo, just because it´s the soundtrack of the best Robin Hood dramatisation :)
I'm reading other comments left for you & I see that we all agree, no Robin Hood dramatisation has or will ever compare to this series. The casting, music, costumes, sets made it all for me, simply MAGIC & SO realistic and i cant now enjoy watching any other Robin than Michael Praed. Nicholas Grace will always be the best sheriff (though Alan Rickman was really good!) I LOVE your videos & so glad to have found them though they make me cry! I think I mourn the loss of the series!

I watched this series when I was young. It was dark an it had some pretty good ideas. I remember the scene with 4 apocalypse horsemen till now. Recently my friend downloaded it, but I finished with 5-th episode. Wish I was fourteen again...

I dont think anyone knows what Celtic music is, it's become a generic term for anything in the Enya-type bracket. If you've ever been up to County Donegal you can see how the landscape there inspires the likes of Clannad, it's very atmospheric, especially round the Poison Glen.
Beutiful video. Robin of Sherwood was the best versrion of the Robin Hood legend I've ever seen. I watched about 10 minutes of the newer BBC version, it was terrible! The makers of medieval dramas should be made to watch ROS in order to get it right, LOL!

RoS was THE definitive Robin depiction! Shame the Goldcrest film co went bust - that's why the last episode doesn't look like a "finished" ending.
The writer and surviving cast are unlikely to revive the programme, either.

I watched this series when I was young. It was dark an it had some pretty good ideas. I remember the scene with 4 apocalypse horsemen till now. Recently my friend downloaded it, but I finished with 5-th episode. Wish I was fourteen again...

Whoever edited this baby together is an absolute wizard. Robin of Sherwood is by far the BEST televisual and indeed cinematic portrayal of Robin Hood there has ever been... barring Jason Connery's unwelcome appearance of course. I've been looking for a descent youtube video promoting Robin of Sherwood's effortless style for a long time and here it is.

Robin of Sherwood was the only Robin series for me. I was born in late 90's, but my parents would always watch this series when i was little, so i grew up with it.

I loved robin hood as a kid ,but it also had the worst moment ever in the history of t.v,when they replaced Micheal Praed with Jason Connery,got nothing against Connery but Praed just fit the bill so well,i never watched it after that ,shame.

I dont think anyone knows what Celtic music is, it's become a generic term for anything in the Enya-type bracket. If you've ever been up to County Donegal you can see how the landscape there inspires the likes of Clannad, it's very atmospheric, especially round the Poison Glen.

Beutiful video. Robin of Sherwood was the best versrion of the Robin Hood legend I've ever seen. I watched about 10 minutes of the newer BBC version, it was terrible! The makers of medieval dramas should be made to watch ROS in order to get it right, LOL!
