Wow, what a great video. You made us think of a bunch of things that werent on our radar for our year long trip around the world. Thanks so much for sharing!
great job man. most of the vids of this type just breeze thru the list of stuff, but your xtra commentary and real-world background are really useful.
It is very interesting to see someone else's travel packing. I've done a year long trip myself and a lot of other travels and I must tell you that for me, traveling light is the greatest gift you can give yourself.
Get rid of that big bag and only travel with a carry on, you will gain so much freedom, it is priceless.
what about prophylactics? haha! I dunno if I'd want to risk using any *local* brands, depending where I found myself... so I would certainly have included that in your first list of absolute essentials! Great video, favorited!
For your loss off media, I would recommend you to get an online storage, so whenever you get the time or opportunity to upload stuff, you can upload it to a server :) You will never lose that data :) I would probably add sunscreen, since im whiter than the youtube background
@Degenskonto One of the biggest difficulties I've had is finding places where I can upload at anything resembling a reasonable speed...not easy to come by on the road. Usually a 1GB YouTube video will take anywhere from 1hr to 7hrs (anything more, and I usually just give up). That's 1GB. My raw files are over 1.5TB....online backup is completely impossible.
Oh - and there's sunscreen in the next vid (things I can do without, but don't regret having with me vid). I almost never use it though
Great video! I see you're a Kindle fan too, I recently got one and now I'm an e-book convert, haha. I could see how it'd be great for traveling. I've favourited this vid for future reference.
Great video! Thanks for all the useful ideas. Happy travels!
