i thought Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Love In The Time Of Cholera was a bit grandiose and stately (not trying to be complementary), but 100 Years Of Solitude was the most awesome magic realism book ever and just one of the the best books ever. Beautifully romantic and epic (this time trying to be complementary), not like Gone With The Wind or anything, just fantastically, freakishly great.

I read a Gabriel Garcia Marquez book for class. I'd never heard of him before. It was a collection of short stories. I think it was called small pilgrims. 8| I couldn't stand it. I don't know, they were okay, but we had to analyze them till we were blue in the face. I hope that one is better when/if I ever pick it up. XD

Monica, you just summarized several of my fondest childhood memories. Scary. 1. Going to my first physical and intentionally kicking on the reflex test because I saw the kid do it on Barney, so I thought that's what you were supposed to do. 2. I used to be obsessed with pandas. 3. I always used to write stories... then I turned to the dark side (music major at Indiana University now). 4. I read a lot. I had time to then. Now I spend my days studying symphonies and song cycles (Not a bad trade).
