I was not SUPER impressed but still thought it was cool cuz of the Theme music and the GB logo floating aroudn the screen. It wasn't until a month later that I got Super Mario Bros that I was hooked! Then I got my SNES with Super Mario World and blew up into a HC gamer just like you when I got my psx with FF7. Unbelievable
well, the title of this vid should be something like: "what got you into gaming?"..not "what made you a hardcore gamer", because IMHO, the definition of what a true "hardcore gamer" is constantly changing. I own a ton of games and systems, but dont consider myself "hardcore" due to that. to me, a hardcore gamer is someone who has an epic, massive, huge collection..someone who collects rare titles, camps out at best buy, etc to be the first to get whatever game or system, etc, etc, etc.

I got my hands on Pokemon Red, probably my fourth or fifth video game ever owned (everything else was family-shared), and I literally carried the device around with me at all times. I realized how big a fan I was of RPG's, and when I literally kept the bugger with me throughout the entire day, probably spending more than ten hours each day playing...yeah, I knew it then.
tenchu stealth assassin made me love videos with its stealth kills and its mobility since it was a step up from when i only played sonic and mario and ill forever love the series
I think final fantasy tactics was the first game I got hardcore into...always played games though...but I DEVOTED HOURS into that game, not just in playing it but thinking about it planning things out etc.

I've been gaming since i was old enough to hold a controller. I'd say that pretty much qualifies as me being hardcore. With platforms as old as the Atari 2600 that was released in 1977. 8 years before i was even born. I Inherited it from my Uncle. I've had an NES as long as i can remember. I fucking love video games. If you don't, fuck you. ^_^
When I was a kid of 7 or 8, my dad got me a Dreamcast; had so many good memories with it until it basically broke down. Afterwards, the Nintendo consoles like the Gamecube made me a hardcore gamer; I had the gamecube for about 5 years, then I got the Wii. I really wish Nintendo had made better decisions with the Wii; I feel like the only games that are coming out for it at this point are third-party shittily programmed shovelware. I've felt that way for the past 3 years about the Wii... :/
@VelvetSky1102 Yeah I was crazy for Streets of Rage when I was a kid. I got it for Ps3 and unlocked and beat mania mode for the first time lol. I've also beat the Metal Gears at the highest ranks, gone through the Final Fantasys countless times, including monster arena and dark aeons on FFX many times. (Oh and Velvet Sky's so damn hot!)
I like collecting games so that makes me hardcore? Well, I have the Nes,Snes,N64,Xbox, Xbox360, Ps1,Ps2,Ps3,3DS,all the gameboys except for the micro, psp 3000. Yea i have all the good stuff except for the Wii which i will get for black friday soon. I'm actually really lucky because i get most of my video games for free from like college students who don't care about their games so I guess I'm a cheap hardcore gamer. ^___^ I just i like video games and collecting the good ones.
Well I'm a newer gamer than most probably watching this video and I will admit I haven't played a whole lot of games on other systems that much and there are systems I want to buy so I can experience the best that gaming has but on my 15th birthday my parents got me an Xbox 360 with a few games and I think the game that truly turned me into a gamer and the game that made me love games was Marvel Ultimate Alliance it was the first game I beat and it was the game that made me want to keep playing
The game that got me hooked was Pokemon Yellow on the Game Boy. Playing this game for me was the shit at the age of 7. What got me more into the story RPG and action games and alike was Final Fantasy X, weird I know but I love it and I still own that copy. Most of my games that I own and buy now are First Person to 3rd person shooter and the RPGs
I am 13 and when I was 3 me and my older sister would always play this scooter game on the dreamcast she would always beat it and I would always play the first level lol and then it was the n64 and Mario party and then the gba and Pokemon and then the GameCube and edd Ed n eddy then the Xbox and the sims and then the wii and smack down vs raw and now the 360 and shooters like cod bfbc and gears of war and we have 5 360s In our house wait I forgot one befor the wii was the ds and sponge bob
At the time I was starting to get interested in games, the next gen of consoles (SNES, Megadrive) where out and we owned a NES even before I was born. So Mario 3 was the first game I ever bought (on the flea market since stores didn't sell NES games anymore) and it was so awesome, there isn't any game I played more than this one. The interest in other kind of games was given me by Pokemon Red, Yellow and Gold. They made me interested in RPGs, before that I'd have never played them.
My dad bought me a Nintendo with Legend of Zelda...not only was I addicted to it, but my Mom and Dad were really addicted to it too and played for hours.
My Mom and Dad were hardcore gamers back in the 90's...now? Not so much anymore because they're busy, but I still am a hardcore gamer and my girlfriend is too.
My girlfriend and I are pretty much misunderstood from most of our friends...it's crazy because our friends label us the usual stereotypes, but whatever...I'm enjoying games :)
What really made me a gamer is when my dad let gave me his SNES (since he bought a Nintendo 64) I remember playing Mortal Kombat, Final Fight, Super Mario World and just being hooked. Then I moved on to the Nintendo 64 and playing Super Mario 64, Doom 64, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, etc...then moved onto PS1 and it was just a gateway more or less. Everytime my dad got a new system he gave me the old one and yeah thats what made me get into games more or less.
I was an introverted child that had to much time on her hands and a Sega-Megadrive/Mega CD. As I got older I played PC games, I played different consoles etc... Would I call myself 'hardcore' though? No. I'm simply not good enough to be considered hardcore. I game, I like games, I'm ok at games. Just ok. I enjoy them.
Hardcore it my other half. Over 3000, perhaps more, gaming hours and counting and he's hella good. Hell, he's gaming as I type!
I call myself a hardcore gamer, not because I play like every single game, but because; 1) I've beaten a lot of games on hard/very hard/hardest difficulty. 2) I have beaten hard games like Ninja Gaiden (every one) and Castlevania (hasn't play it on DS) on hardest difficulty. 3) One of the first games that I played was strategy games (C&C/RA AOE etc.), so that has made me think fast during gameplay, ex. when I play Ninja Gaiden, I can imagine the next 10-20 combos in my head during the battle.
I never had game systems when I was a four year old, but my friends did. I played Yoshi's Island and Megaman X. They also had an N64 <3 Then my close family friends gave me a Playstation. I was the happiest kid in the world playing Tekken. :)
Started on, of all things, a Sega Saturn, loved the thing to death, Virtua Fighter, Sega Rally Championship, was the shit back then. Went to PC for Zipper Interactive's Recoil, then to CnC Red Alert 2. Then got into the Pokemon craze with Sapphire, put in well over 300hrs into it. Now the Saturn is dead because of another sibling, gameboy I no longer own, but I still play the pc games every now-and-then.
I remember that feeling of getting my first gameboy. I was like... "I JUST MADE HIM DO THAT!!!" It was unreal.

I became a hardcore gamer a few weeks after I got my first PS1. I got two games with it, Megaman X and Crash Bandicoot 2. It was good but slightly boring.
What made me a hardcore gamer was a few weeks later my neighbor, who will not be named, found out I got a PS1 and introduced me to Legend of Zelda and my very first Final Fantasy game: Final Fantasy 7.
And I've been playing since, however I will never play FF13 because I rented it and I got bored in the first five minutes and it sucked.
it was 2 games that got me hooked to video gaming the 1st one was Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for Sega Genisis than Golden Eye for the N64. Golden eye for N64 is the reason why i like FPS's

Started with RTSs on PC - StarCraft, Heroes of M n' M, Age of Empires
then came PS1 - The Medievil and Crash Bandicoot series(only 1,2,3,) which i both highly recomend and consider one of the best game series ever, to this very day i haven't played a game that could come on even terms with these two and believe it - i played alot. i stopped playing after a while tho until i started digging Rock and Heavy Metal and learned about the 1st GH and iwaslike -rock music on MY PS2? GAME ON!
my first system was super nintendo and then GBC, and i prayed to my mother for a psone XD and begged! and she never got me it. so after awhile the playstation 2 came out...and she got me that instead XD!
the nes and super nintendo got me started, and ps1 and n64 took me completely into gaming. mario 64, super mario land, goldeneye, vigilante 8, rayman, spyro, pokemon stadium etc
what made me a gamer, castlevania 4 and mortal kombat, when i was a lad my older cousin dropped me off his sega and a copy of castlevania 4 for snes, before then it was nothing but mario and pac man. but those 2 games made my balls drop
sonic 1,2,3 and knuckles, mario 64, yoshi story, banjo kazooie,tooie, mystical ninja, bomber man hero's and 64, LoZ OoT and Majoras Mask etc. etc. etc, a lot of shit that got me into gaming.
Mario Series Hands down. Perfect Dark , Super smash bros melee, Quake , Unreal tournament , Counter Strike , and nowadays i play a shitload of F-Zero and Super Smash Melee with a mix of SC2 .
for me it's was when my dad brought me the sega genesis when I was like 5 years old. I like sonic games and street fighter games and puyo puyo games(thanks to robotnik mean bean)
ps1 when my dad bought a ps1 with twisted metal 2, crash bandicoot warped, spyro, and syphon filter. I was a bit older and my only real experience with games at the time was Golden Eye at a friends house, which I couldn't really dig because I got my ass handed to me :D But hot damn when I started playing those!
Received a Sega Genesis way back in the day when I was 5 and fell in love with video games. The PS1 just escalated my love for games. I credit those two systems (and maybe a little Super Nintendo).
Two consoles eras: N64 to PS2, those gaming eras are what made me the 14 year hardcore gamer that I proudly am today. I'm 20 now and still I play those more than todays games in general.
Super Mario 3 was the game that totally blew my mind back in the day... Then as the years went on games like Grand theft auto Vice City blew it even more. I'm 30 now and games have dominated the last 25 years of my life
for me it was at age 5 when my brother brought his dreamcast (props if you remember what that was) over and i played wrestlemania for the first time i was hooked then i went to the ps1,ps2,x box,xbox 360,gameboy,super netindo,sega and now a ps3

mmk lets see.. theres a few things that made me the hardcore gamer i am today. heres a list:
#1 my cousins. without them i wouldnt have fallen in love with video games to the point of being obsessed. i probably would have been in between a casual and hardcore gamer.
#2 pokemon blue. my first game ever. i absolutely loved it to death and it introduced me into the world of vieo games.
#3 video game reviews. im addicted to them here on youtube. whenever im not playing games, im watching reviews
Well there's N64's Mario and Super Smash that really influenced me, but really I think it all started when my mother bought me and my cousin a Gameboy Color bundled with Pokemon Silver. That game was so imersively imaginative and deep that it had me hooked. Good times. :)
For me Mega Man 3 started me off Crono Trigger got me into RPG types and then Resident Evil 2 got me into SH Types so far i try to get any SH,RPG, or any Japanese type games but even tho i own 105 ps2 games and 67 xbox360 i mostly addict to Maple Story MMORPG with my gf i guess cus Maple brings back old side-scrolling memories.
For me it was probably Super Mario Bros. wich was the first videogame i've ever owned, but, Unreal Tournament was the first FPS i really got into, and that started the insane HC FPS playing that i continue to this day, still is one of the best games ever made imo. :D Grats AOS, your vids are so badass! keep it up! \m/
I completed Perfect Dark inside and out, got all the cheats, beat all the time trials, all the shooting range challenges, everything. Unlocked any possible thing that could be done, and it took me 6 years on again off again due to frustration and collected hatred.
im dont consider myself to ba a hardcore gamer but ive been playing games when i was 10 months old on the comerdor64 and been playing video games ever sice :D. imy most fave game is super mario 3 (like everone else lol) but ive been in ff since ff 6 and ive never regreted it. im a proad gamer :D

For me, I started playing the original Nintendo when I was 3, according to my parents. Apparently I played it quite a bit, because it was busted by the time I was 5, I think I was hardcore pretty much from the start. Except for the Dreamcast and stuff older than Nintendo, I've got all the systems and at least a dozen games for each.
i really grew up with the Super Nintendo and the N64. I went back to the NES as I got older. I feel that I became a hardcore gamer way back when I was a kid. The 2 games that I especially remember beating that were insanely difficult were Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, and Super Ghouls and Ghosts. I own many excruciatingly difficult games now, but I enjoy playing them
playstation 1, Spyro and crash crash bandicoot. Also had a nintendo before that but I loved my playstation 1 had three of them first one broke bought another then got the slim version.
@KryptoWolf haha i had 2 or 3 but we got ps2 instead of slim : God spyro and crash (and crash team racing) were badass! grew up with a SNES and PS, they were beast, I still play them to this day :P
may seem wierd but Dino Crisis (from makers of Resident Evil) was pretty sick, i was young too so it was even scarier haha but I'd play or watch dad play and have things jumping out scaring the crap out of us, ah the memories.

I was like at least two when I first played super nintendo. idk wat it was that got me so into games. There wasn`t any favorites of mine nor didn`t look for anything (storyline,etc) in games, I just got any game and just spend my time playing it. Then when I passed a game I just play it over again. However, I knew pops couldn`t buy everysingle game made. So from then-forth I got picky. Now, when I think about it, I`d play any game(ANY) a couple times with one plyr. n play two plyr constantly.
the original ps1 for me. then on to the ps2 but yeah growing up with things like duke nukem, doom, and road rash it was hard to not wanna get into gaming lol
for me it was the snes, and then when i was like 10 my cousins had a big impact on me gamin cause they're big gamers to, so when i was 10 i always used to go 2 ther house and game and stuff, like i remeber seeing my cousin beat FF7, and i remeber playing Red Faction with him!
being a first generation immigrant, my parents didnt have a lot of money, and my mom was really scared of having to leave me and my bro (6 and 1 years old) home all day because my parents had to go to work, and she would tell me to never go leave home, eventually she realized how boring of a life i lived (couldnt go outside, only 7 TV channels, 1 year old bro) so she used that weeks grocery money to buy me a SNES. for a kid born and growing up in a dying communist nation, this was unreal.

Well I would say The Resident Evil Series made me Man the fuck up big time!Example Resident Evil 3 Nemesis ! I beat that game on Hard Mode and also faced Nemesis everytime we meet so i could get those upgraded weapons and parts bcuz thats only way u cud get them! but it wasnt easy!I did it finally and beat the game ! After that i played all the RE games on Hard Mode or Higher like the Invisible Zombie mode on the remake or picking the mode where the Item Boxes are not connected !

The Nintendo 64 made me the gamer I'm today, I used to always love to play Super Mario 64, the Banjo-Kazooie Series, ETC., Then I discovered the PSone, I always played: The Spyro Series, Crash Bandicoot Series, The Gex Series, ETC. THEN (lol) I started to play the Original Microsoft Xbox and I discovered HALO. THEN (lol x2) I bought and Xbox 360, and play Gears of War and Halo 3 and now Halo: Reach. Then I bought a PS3 and got into the Uncharted Series, and Infamous.
Another thing I remember well is the time when me an my neighbor connected our two computers with a 20 meter long Null Modem cable to play Doom and ROTT multiplayer. This was pre internet guys. Maybe more oldschool than hardcore, but I still think it is worth to mention for the spoiled 100M/bit kid out there. That is how we did it back in the days. :)
NES made me a gamer to with games like Zelda and Bouble Bouble being the ones i remember. Then SNES and Zelda still being my favourite game. Then I got a pentium 90Mhz computer and i got myself Diablo 1 and Doom. After this I went onto the battlefield series and flew a lot of helicopter (dessert combat mod), epic time in my gaming history. Onto World of Warcraft owning it up pvp wise (quit this awhile ago). I own a PSP witch I have, NES EMU, Diablo 1 and Doom on. Going back 2 the good memories.
First game I ever played was Chopper Command on the 2600 in 1989. I still have such a clear memory of that day and was blown away by video games. I was gaming ever since. Ultima Online and Warcraft 2 were the biggest addictions I ever had with gaming, first games to make me stay home "sick" from school to play or stay up late the night before. They introduced me to online gaming and I was never the same after facing real competition. Since then most games I buy now are for online modes
Probably when I got my Playstation back in 97, I was little at the time. And I played Crash Bandicoot 2 along with some other games that just blowed me away.
I just began to get more and more into games and specially with RPGs like you. I don't consider myself a "hardcore", but just a normal gamer.
Devil may cry 1 was the revelation of everything with Metal gear solid 2.
probably the nintendo 64, i remember when i was little my father got it for christmas one year from my mother. He worked alot so iplayed it during the week while he was at work. Star Wars podracing was my favorite, along with any 007 games.

I don't remember the first game I ever played, I was WAYYYY too young. Though the console that got me obsessed with playing games on harder difficulty (not for achievements, but for myself, I haven't uploaded my PS3 Trophies in like 3-4 months) was the PlayStation2 and games like Devil May Cry. That is basically what made me begin collecting games. I just love playing games and I find them more compelling then most movies out there, they actually feel like an adventure.

My first console was the Super Nintendo. My parents thought the Nintendo 64 (1999-2000) was too expensive so I got a Super Nintendo instead.
I got games like Super Mario Allstars, Starwing (Starfox) and Final Fantasy.

My first console was the Super Nintendo, it all started with Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, Mega Man X.
But I world say it became a "hardcore obsession" when i started getting into RPG games like Mario RPG, Pokemon Blue, and Earthbound.
I was hooked forever by the time I played Ocarina of Time, Metal Gear Solid, Banjo Kazooie...
Today, I collect consoles, I have all those I already mentioned and many many more, I love the Wii, Ps3, and even a few games on Xbox.

With platforms as old as the Atari 2600 that was released in 1977. 8 years before i was even born. I Inherited it from my Uncle. I've had an NES as long as i can remember. I fucking love video games. When I was a kid of 7 or 8, my dad got me a Dreamcast; had so many good memories with it until it basically broke down. Afterwards, the Nintendo consoles like the Gamecube made me a hardcore gamer; I had the gamecube for about 5 years, then I got the Wii. I really wish Nintendo had made better decisions with the Wii; I feel like the only games that are coming out for it at this point are third-party shittily programmed shovelware. I've felt that way for the past 3 years about the Wii... :/

I like collecting games so that makes me hardcore? Well, I have the Nes,Snes,N64,Xbox, Xbox360, Ps1,Ps2,Ps3,3DS,all the gameboys except for the micro, psp 3000. Yea i have all the good stuff except for the Wii which i will get for black friday soon. What got me more into the story RPG and action games and alike was Final Fantasy X, weird I know but I love it and I still own that copy. At the time I was starting to get interested in games, the next gen of consoles (SNES, Megadrive) where out and we owned a NES even before I was born. So Mario 3 was the first game I ever bought (on the flea market since stores didn't sell NES games anymore) and it was so awesome, there isn't any game I played more than this one. The interest in other kind of games was given me by Pokemon Red, Yellow and Gold. They made me interested in RPGs, before that I'd have never played them.

What really made me a gamer is when my dad let gave me his SNES (since he bought a Nintendo 64) I remember playing Mortal Kombat, Final Fight, Super Mario World and just being hooked. Then I moved on to the Nintendo 64 and playing Super Mario 64, Doom 64, Star Wars Rogue Squadron, etc...then moved onto PS1 and it was just a gateway more or less. Everytime my dad got a new system he gave me the old one and yeah thats what made me get into games more or less.

I was an introverted child that had to much time on her hands and a Sega-Megadrive/Mega CD. As I got older I played PC games, I played different consoles etc... Would I call myself 'hardcore' though? No. I'm simply not good enough to be considered hardcore. I game, I like games, I'm ok at games. Just ok. I enjoy them.
Hardcore it my other half. Over 3000, perhaps more, gaming hours and counting and he's hella good. Hell, he's gaming as I type!

I call myself a hardcore gamer, not because I play like every single game, but because; 1) I've beaten a lot of games on hard/very hard/hardest difficulty. 2) I have beaten hard games like Ninja Gaiden (every one) and Castlevania (hasn't play it on DS) on hardest difficulty. 3) One of the first games that I played was strategy games (C&C/RA AOE etc.), so that has made me think fast during gameplay, ex. when I play Ninja Gaiden, I can imagine the next 10-20 combos in my head during the battle.

Started on, of all things, a Sega Saturn, loved the thing to death, Virtua Fighter, Sega Rally Championship, was the shit back then. Went to PC for Zipper Interactive's Recoil, then to CnC Red Alert 2. Then got into the Pokemon craze with Sapphire, put in well over 300hrs into it. Now the Saturn is dead because of another sibling, gameboy I no longer own, but I still play the pc games every now-and-then.

I became a hardcore gamer a few weeks after I got my first PS1. I got two games with it, Megaman X and Crash Bandicoot 2. It was good but slightly boring.
What made me a hardcore gamer was a few weeks later my neighbor, who will not be named, found out I got a PS1 and introduced me to Legend of Zelda and my very first Final Fantasy game: Final Fantasy 7.
And I've been playing since, however I will never play FF13 because I rented it and I got bored in the first five minutes and it sucked.

I completed Perfect Dark inside and out, got all the cheats, beat all the time trials, all the shooting range challenges, everything. Unlocked any possible thing that could be done, and it took me 6 years on again off again due to frustration and collected hatred.

For me, I started playing the original Nintendo when I was 3, according to my parents. Apparently I played it quite a bit, because it was busted by the time I was 5, I think I was hardcore pretty much from the start. Except for the Dreamcast and stuff older than Nintendo, I've got all the systems and at least a dozen games for each.

i really grew up with the Super Nintendo and the N64. I went back to the NES as I got older. I feel that I became a hardcore gamer way back when I was a kid. The 2 games that I especially remember beating that were insanely difficult were Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, and Super Ghouls and Ghosts. I own many excruciatingly difficult games now, but I enjoy playing them

I was like at least two when I first played super nintendo. idk wat it was that got me so into games. There wasn`t any favorites of mine nor didn`t look for anything (storyline,etc) in games, I just got any game and just spend my time playing it. Then when I passed a game I just play it over again. However, I knew pops couldn`t buy everysingle game made. So from then-forth I got picky. Now, when I think about it, I`d play any game(ANY) a couple times with one plyr. n play two plyr constantly.

I got hooked on gaming eith my first ever console, the N64 i was about 4 years old. I wasnt really good i just loved playing. I stopped playing video games
Until i got my xbox 360 and got good at first person shooters such as gears of war COD and halo

Because u really want that survival horror feeling I man up on Silent Hill too i didnt care how dark it was anymore ! Im still gona kickass and Take names!ow yea! I remember Beating MGS:SnakeEater on European Extreme ! It was Damn near Immposible im talking without getting caught! Oh god then all the Bosses and Mini Bosses fights,the chase scenes,trying to save eva cuz shes wounded and u only get 3 life Meds and ur life bar aint that long ethier!

Well I would say The Resident Evil Series made me Man the fuck up big time!Example Resident Evil 3 Nemesis ! I beat that game on Hard Mode and also faced Nemesis everytime we meet so i could get those upgraded weapons and parts bcuz thats only way u cud get them! but it wasnt easy!I did it finally and beat the game ! After that i played all the RE games on Hard Mode or Higher like the Invisible Zombie mode on the remake or picking the mode where the Item Boxes are not connected !

For me it was the Super Nintendo,Sega Genesis and PlayStation 1. The games that got me hoocked on RPG's was Super Mario RPG, Final Fantasy 8 and Breath of Fire 3.

People says i m a hardcore gamer because i have finish contra 3 with one life in normal mode... If you look my collection you can say i m a hardcore gamer. But i think a hardcore gamer is a no life !

what made ME a hardcore gamer?hmm....id say final fantasy 9!!!..i loved that game to death and my favorite FF if not favorite game period..ps1 was the best console hands down..ps2 was also great..if not FF 9 id say super mario world and mortal kombat 2 was huge for me when i was a kid.

The Nintendo 64 made me the gamer I'm today, I used to always love to play Super Mario 64, the Banjo-Kazooie Series, ETC., Then I discovered the PSone, I always played: The Spyro Series, Crash Bandicoot Series, The Gex Series, ETC. THEN (lol) I started to play the Original Microsoft Xbox and I discovered HALO. THEN (lol x2) I bought and Xbox 360, and play Gears of War and Halo 3 and now Halo: Reach. Then I bought a PS3 and got into the Uncharted Series, and Infamous.

Another thing I remember well is the time when me an my neighbor connected our two computers with a 20 meter long Null Modem cable to play Doom and ROTT multiplayer. This was pre internet guys. Maybe more oldschool than hardcore, but I still think it is worth to mention for the spoiled 100M/bit kid out there. That is how we did it back in the days. :)

NES made me a gamer to with games like Zelda and Bouble Bouble being the ones i remember. Then SNES and Zelda still being my favourite game. Then I got a pentium 90Mhz computer and i got myself Diablo 1 and Doom. After this I went onto the battlefield series and flew a lot of helicopter (dessert combat mod), epic time in my gaming history. Onto World of Warcraft owning it up pvp wise (quit this awhile ago). I own a PSP witch I have, NES EMU, Diablo 1 and Doom on. Going back 2 the good memories.

First game I ever played was Chopper Command on the 2600 in 1989. I still have such a clear memory of that day and was blown away by video games. I was gaming ever since. Ultima Online and Warcraft 2 were the biggest addictions I ever had with gaming, first games to make me stay home "sick" from school to play or stay up late the night before. They introduced me to online gaming and I was never the same after facing real competition. Since then most games I buy now are for online modes

Probably when I got my Playstation back in 97, I was little at the time. And I played Crash Bandicoot 2 along with some other games that just blowed me away.
I just began to get more and more into games and specially with RPGs like you. I don't consider myself a "hardcore", but just a normal gamer.
Devil may cry 1 was the revelation of everything with Metal gear solid 2.

probably the nintendo 64, i remember when i was little my father got it for christmas one year from my mother. He worked alot so iplayed it during the week while he was at work. Star Wars podracing was my favorite, along with any 007 games.

I don't remember the first game I ever played, I was WAYYYY too young. Though the console that got me obsessed with playing games on harder difficulty (not for achievements, but for myself, I haven't uploaded my PS3 Trophies in like 3-4 months) was the PlayStation2 and games like Devil May Cry. That is basically what made me begin collecting games. I just love playing games and I find them more compelling then most movies out there, they actually feel like an adventure.
