Cornerstone, nice version of Gloria by The Chariots. I used to own a business called Cornerstone Management (small world). I hear that Sandi (Ronnie's wife) is running the store. I haven't had an opportunity to take the trip there. Yes, Ronnie kept the memory of Gossert alive. I remember bringing over a cd I made of one of my dad's many reel-to-reel recordings of Gus Gossert and Ronnie was thrilled. It was hard to keep composure at his funeral. The Clifronaires sang Dream.. Everyone was crying.
Yes, with great sadness we report RONALD ITALIANO, (Ronnie I.), 67, of Clifton, NJ, formerly of East Rutherford NJ passed away on March 4, 2008. He was great to Cornerstone and many, many other groups and individuals. He was a great guy and will surely be missed by many.
Sorry to hear, he did a wonderful thing for me I recorded with Amy Label "Wonderful Girl" and the Carribeans back in 1962. A few years ago he put together a cd of Amy Label "one hit wonders" added my record to it what an honor. Keep up what your doing keep the music alive
I am so sorry to hear this! Ronnie I lit the way and carries the torch for us many doowop fanantics! God bless him, and may his spirit and the spirit of doo-wop live forever in our hearts!
WOOOO! Harry!!!! *thud*!!! I LOVE Harry's singing!!!! I've known his work since the "Neighbor's Complaint" days! Even got to meet him at Mr. Lee's show in PA. He's the best! Thanks for posting!
