50 million without health coverage? so what. It's not a right it's an option. If they don't have it too bad. 20 million of the 50 are illegal and another 10 just don't want it. 300 million people in this country already have it
I'm taking a course right now with ATI career training center online and they help you get placed in a job after you r graduate. But it's not an easy course.
Some places like you to have 2yrs experience but others like students just coming out of school and they also have on the job training while you work. if you decide to take up this line of work they have 4wks to 18mths programs. im in a 4wks program in CT and i finish tomorrow. you should take the program that last a little longer cause 4wks goes too fast and you don't learn all you need to know just basically some coding,billing, and discussions.
@zion715 i was wondering if you found a job in the medical billing coding field . i know its been a year since you posted this but i was just wondering cause i myself am taking online courses online for this .
@gabrielsmama29 No i still havent found in the field yet. i've pretty much given up on finding a medical billing job. I apply but i always get the same answer you need 2 to 4 yrs experience. I ve chosen to focus on workin to save up enough money to open my own restuarant which still requires me to take a few business courses, but i dont have any money 4 school right now so i hoping that my experience in my uncle's restuarant will b enough. Pray for me LOL!
@zion715 Out of curiosity did you just get a certificate or an associates in Medical Billing and Coding? Also what area do you reside in if you dont mind me asking? Seems like any other field for every success story there is someone who is unhappy or unable to make a living.

@zion715 I'm sorry to hear that and i was actually thinking of getting a certification on medical billing. But with what you wrote, and well your own experience i'll think about it.
@nyrnyuk i did this out of control job for 8 months, fighting with insurance companies, dealing with angry patients i even got a couple of death threats UGH!!! D: but i am now a medical assistant YAY!!! (: no more suffering
No body will hire you with no experience so enjoy working for free for a while
