Just because a player is on Manchester United doesn't mean he should be >75. Obertan has done absolutely nothing to warrant a high rating. Meanwhile, you get to enjoy an overrated Ji-Sung Park at ostensibly the same position. Same with Nani. Nani is a good player but there are much more accomplished wingers in the Premier League who barely crack 80. Obviously EA misses the mark with a lot of players, but in general, they treat Manchester United pretty kindly.

Yeah Arshavin isn't THAT good. I thought the same about Manchester United's players too- if Nani and Valencia were playing wing they would be rated higher.

But when you think about it, overalls don't really mean much. A player playing out of position still has all the skills that he would have in his normal one- but his skills are more suited to that role, therefore the overall stat drop. Think of it this way- you play a player out of position all it means is they are better somewhere else.

It's based on overall... Just because a player is 88 or 75 doesn't mean he's so much better his pace could be 90 and the other 70, so you see the player overall means jack shit until you get the player that suits your build up play =)
