  • does anyone know how to hook up my receiver to my computer so i can listen to songs off the receiver.please help my boy did it before for me but hes in iraq and i have no idea how to do it please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @belleairn1124 You'll need an RCA to 3.5mm headphone jack cable. Available at Walmart, Radioshack, etc. Simply run it from the desired output on the receiver to either the headphone input on the computer or the audio out on the computer, usually on the back of the tower.

  • I got mine several years ago at Walmart(sx315) this is still a good unit till this day, I did upgrade to a yamaha system and have the Pioneer in my bedroom.

  • i have the same receicer, how do you set both A and B speakers? only my A speakes are being used

  • hi guys.i,m using vsx-d810 to 3 unit powered sub, trying to compare the other avr(marantz sr5500/pioneer vsx-2011/vsa-1000)to him,but still cannot eat the deep and low fucking bass.damn!i really2 like him.volume at 85-75db is good enough to listen the bass.sorry my bad english.

  • I got similar mines is a Pioneer SX-315.. 1000 watts... I love it.. I'm gonna get a vid up of it eventually..

  • A solid performer. Please don't be misled simply because it is sold as a "home theater in a box" (HTIB). With some Energy (which I have) or Klipsch speakers, this unit is an absolute winner. I didn't realize what a solid unit this is until I learned ALL the settings after reading the owners manual. The power is outstanding when the speaker distance(s) are set to the maximum 45 feet. It looks deceptively minimalist but it's packed with power and settings!

  • Nice amp!

  • high five for having the same reciever, i love this thing, handles all my sound needs. had it 3 years and it sounds and looks the same as it did when i took it out of the box.....minus some fraying on one of the speakers....stupid cats.

  • What setting mode do you use when watching movie? I'm trying to maximize the sound of it and also make it sounds like the theater. Any suggestion? I'm waiting for my optical cable, hopefully I can improve the sound quality.

  • What are the ohms? ( Should say on the back of tbe receiver)

  • I have the sx-315,spilled a full bottle of water on her let it dry for 1 day and it still sound great its 1000 watts though.

  • I have this receiver. Great thing. Love it.

  • i have this same reciever the speakers are freakin sweet bought it from walmart a few years ago although i replaced the sub because it could have been better now it freakin really bumps pioneer rules.

  • If you put it on expanded mode, you will get true matrixed audio through anything, ( not great quality with music cds though).

  • i'm trying to set this up using my optical cable and no sound is there a setting i need to do on the reciever?

  • Um...It should be working. I'm not quite fimiliar with Fiber Optic Cables.

  • @thedean987 I'm using the same receiver with an optical connection from my PC sound card to the receiver. Just make sure you have it set to CD/in

  • wow!! is perfect!!

  • thanx for this

  • I have this receiver too, which I received free from a family member that complained about the size...It may be a large receiver, but I have my television, DVD player, and old-school cassette player hooked up...sounds great...bought some 5.1ch Sony speakers from a garage sale...all in all a $30 home theatre

  • hey wat's the retail on one of those?

  • Just the receiver goes for about $250. Pretty cheap, but it has some kick butt sound. I'll be adding a video of my new projects I just receiver of a Pioneer SX-980 that used to run about $1000 to $2000 back in it's day.

  • is it possible to hook up a 2800 watt cerwin vega amp to that so u can power more powerful speakers

  • Nice receiver. I got my receiver for $5,but I went online and it said that it's original retail price was $2800!!!!!! It was made in 1992, it's the JVC RX-307. 45 watts per channel, stereo, no surround, center, or subwoofer channels. Just two right and left outputs. I'm hoping to get two ported speaker towers one day.

  • Well, check out my channel soon, I might be getting tons of Vintage Pioneer Equipment that you might wanna check it. Turntables, receivers, equalizers, etc.

  • Lucky.

  • Ya never know...YOU might get the chance to have all kinds of stuff. I've been collecting stereo equipment ever since I could walk. Hehe. I'm gettting the Vintage things from family. Your day will come and you'll prolly get tons of superb equipment. You just gotta wait.

  • I have been waiting for that day for about two years. I have a strong feeling it will come in a few months, starting with a new set of speaker towers.

  • Good Luck! I wish I could get my hands on a good set of Towers. If you want quality, go with Klipsch.

  • You read my mind! Klipsch is my favorite speaker brand. They had a Sub-10 subwoofer with two towers (dunno the model #) at Circuit CIty, and they sounded amazing! The bass was very loud too in addition to being SQ. The Logitech Z-2300 can't compare with volume with Klipsch. It makes sense to cost 1K for a good 2.1 home theater. 2K is well worth it for a surround sound system if it's from Klipsch!

  • I saw the same set-up, I was considering getting it for Christmas or my Birthday but then. Circuit City closed...

  • @31Orcas it true that klipsch speaker has the able to stir your soul and how accuracy are this klipsch compared to definitive technology because i enjoy klipsch image series but now i look they klipsch icon wf-35 home theatre system
