I am researching 1930s autogyros while reading The Shadow Magazine. He probably flew a Pitcairn, like this one, as did Howard Hughes. But am I missing something? The text for this video, and for one showing the autogyro sequence in "The Rocketeer", both say "Pictaring". The video shows a Pitcairn autogyro. Is "Pictaring" a model name, or some sort of typo?
Not that I know of. I think the "Little Wing" autogyro may be the closest one being manufactured now. Google it for more info. There may enven be some footage of it flying here on Youtube?

The fuse was built for the PCA-2 was built by Pitcarin for the sole purpose of being menat for a the autogyro.
If wanting to model a RC plane cheap, look for a Super Stearman biplane and you possibly convert it to an autogyro.

Nice video, however I'd like to hear the engines and at the scene sound, rather then the soundtrack added.
