oh, here's something I kind of remember. Turn on boolProp testingcheatsenabled true, the either click or shift click or ctrl click a sim > spawn> something like "paul's reaction tester". It should be a yellow box with a red arrow on it. I think it's in... section 1.... anyway, one of the sections (which are called something else) has 'cry- comfort'? Or something of the sort. Anyway, you get the crying sim to click that and then the other sim will have an option to comfort them.

I haven't played sims 2 or 3 yet, but from what I know of the original sims, my guess would be to just let them talk and shit and get to like each other and eventually that option will appear.

While in neighborhood bring up the cheatbox (hold CTRL+Shift then tap 'C').

Once the white box is up, type in: boolprop testingcheatsenabled true

The load up the family with the people you want to get together. Go into the relationship panel and you should be able to drag relationships up and down. Put the relationships for both up to full and after a romantic interaction they'll be in love. Good luck :)

p.s. Remember to switch the cheat off afterward!
