I would hope you were more open to differences in music seeming that you are in the industry MistaBlack. As to the comment of Editing and Airbrushing, there has rarely been anyone more opposite to that. You see everything there is with her. Her lives sound like her studio recordings, her videos are simplistic, showcasing the talent over the scenery and any background is to enhance the songs emotion rather than distract.

Many of Japanese vocalist have weaker voice than other counterparts. But in her case, she effectively vibrate her voice to express the meaning of lyrics. I do not know her voice range. In this song she does not use high-pitched one except for some end of phrases. It sounds like haunting but still effective.

thats my whole point. if you listen to her studio material i agree it sounds good. but live its completely different. her voice is weaker and she cant hit the same notes as accurately. you know there are such things as automatic voice tuner. which can pitch your voice up or down. as well as multi tracking. so at the end of the day you end up with something completely and utterly fake.

i wouldnt call a bunch of whoever this singers name is- fans "the masses". and like i said before im a jazz guitarist. but i also play bass, piano, drums and i did used to sing but not anymore. i also program music. oh and i play turntables too. i can read and write music. i listen to jazz, funk, rock, hiphop, reggae, dub. pretty much anything. as long as its authentic. and theres no bullshit marketing campaign behind it. for me music is about realism. not escapism. or fakism. cheers
