Hey David....is there a tutorial #7 or whichever one starts out animating the text that goes next to the custom bullets? I couldn't find it anywhere. Thank you...and thank you!
@quikcollar ---->> Short answer: I don't know. Longer: There is another series that might cover it: "Advanced PowerPoint Part 1: Introduction to Animation." Also, you could describe in a comment here what happens and I could just tell you.
I got stuck on this tutorial right outta the gate when you deleted the text boxes with a few keystrokes. When I tried that, it said CLICK HERE TO ADD SLIDE or something and I came right back where I started. My only work-around was just getting a blank theme. Otherwise, so far so good.
@quikcollar -- > Thanks for the comment. I should have said how to do that. You have to first select the text box by clicking on one of its borders. Sorry.
@peakdavid>>>I did that...it seemed intuitive to highlight the box and delete but, as I said, it just went to a blank screen that said CLICK HERE TO BLAH BLAH BLAH and, when I did, it took me straight back to the 2-box template. I finally just went and picked the blank one, which may be the easiest way for rubes like me to do it. Just hoping that first slide doesn't pop up. Submitting to angel investors ASAP for my gear ...just FYI. THANKS!
@VampireKnightluver13 -- Vamp, you can download a 30-day free trial version from the Microsoft Office web site. Good luck! If you end up buying a copy, be sure to take advantage of the student academic discount.
Thanks so much David. I am using this to help me prepare my first Powerpoint presentation and I think it's going to be very professional and interactive - thanks to your tips...
This looks amazing. David I currently work for a Mining Company and I have prepared 4 powerpoint presentations (Quaterly reports) and I am begining to start my first one for 2010. Would you ben interested at looking at one of my prior reports for advice? I am really wanting to step it up a notch on this one.
Hi David, I watched all other related videos on Powerpoint tutorial by other presentors and I should say that your videos are outstanding. Your presentations are well structured and to the point. The tips about Gridlines, etc are really helpful and would be much appreciated by people who use PPTs extensively. Thank You.

Just my opinion, it was a little difficult to follow along with your presentation. Not only do you go along pretty quickly, but you don't exactly explain what you're doing and how you're doing it. For beginners, like me, it's a little frustrating to try to figure out.
Because you are using the "Duplicate" command instead of the "Blank" slide command to create a "New Slide"?
