Would be an even better bag if there was a way to zip the main compartment closed from dust or light fingers when you need that more than fast access. A wide top panel with a zip both sides that could be tucked away at one end would be excellent.
@TLPhoto1 Thanks for the feedback! In the design concept for this bag, we were going for a nondescript shooter's bag. We incorporated flaps at the sides of the main compartment so that people can't sneak a peak at your gear. The Urban Disguise series was designed more for travel/protection. Regardless, we always like to hear how our bags are being used in the field so thanks for taking the time to share your experiences.
@InsideThinkTankPhoto Indeed. I am just getting hold of the UD 70 v2 for just that reason. However, I often shoot in places like Asia and India where the 'Disguise' part of that range is not remotely true! It is more like an advert than a disguise.
The Retrospective is more of a disguise in those places, but needs better security because the risk of theft is much higher (I know whereof I speak - a D3 body, 17-35 2.8 and other things were stolen from my bag in India last year!)
@TLPhoto1 Touche! Sorry to hear that your D3 was lifted. Yes, the UD series still looks professional and in desperate places, still attracts eyes. Again, thanks for your comments and I appreciate your candor. I will pass on your feedback to the designers.
@InsideThinkTankPhoto If you had a panel that was the full width/length of the opening of the Retro that was attached at one end, with a zip on both sides (pulls could be joined with a loop to open as one) then the bag could be zipped up if need be or the flap unzipped and rolled/tucked out of the way at one end to allow access in safer/cleaner places or when working.

I have one – it's a great bag.
Was it filmed in Saigon?

This bag is awsome! Does Retrospective 10 holds a 5D mark II with a BatteryGrip?!
