Well that all depend's on you, i let my dog go off the leed for a laugh i knew it wouldn't run away because he suck's at running, He was only 13 week's and All the peep's around the park would of grabbed him, He ran a little bit, But came back, Seem's to me if your dog like's thing's that's being chased.

First thing once you let if of your lead, Get some treat's make sure it notices you and run away from is, Treat it every time it come's back :D That's how i done it
