All the mechanics are done. I have to add the medium mechs yet, as well as work up the meshes for damage display for all the mechs I've added since V12. I have to work on the campain scripts, but nearly there. :) It will have a self generating campaign system, with random missions and objectives, random terrain generation and random settlement/town generation. You'll be able to play again and again without playing on he same map, or the same combination of objectives.
Actually, checking the calculations today I noticed that the mechs were walking at around 20% faster than their intended speed. I've changed this and the assault mechs should no longer run. It's difficult to get the feeling of a 30ton robot in the walk cycle when that robot is travelling at over 150KPH. You know, the 100 ton atlas, at 12 meters tall would have a body mass index of 694. A body mass index of 30 is obese, so what does that make the Atlas? :)
looking great. the night view is not half bad too. i can see the problems with the colors, but they are no real issue. im also very happy about the new look for laser and PPC. dust trails are good.
one visual effect that i really like to see is if you can give LRM and SRM a smoke trail that lingers half a second after flight? nothing huge, just a trail of 10-20 smoke pixels about the size of the missile. may be for the jump jets too.
also AC gun flashes. like you see on regular RL guns.
