  • @spunkflunk

downloadable games via the wii shop channel that you can buy, by reedeming a wii points card or using your credit card, most games on wii ware are exclusive to wii, but some are on the ps3 and 360, as well as Iphone, wii ware games are not be mistaken with virtual console games, VC games are original nintendo games form past consoles, were as wii ware games are brand new games made for the wii, most of them sport motion controls and range from $5 to $10. hope that clarifies :)

  • slated to be released in Fall 2009??? well, it came out in Q1 2010, noobs

  • this game was released on march 15th 2010 not in the fall.

  • Do you really make wiiware games ?

    thats really cool.

can you tell us about the game ?

and how many wii points it is ?

  • This is a Wiiware title? MADNESS! :O

I hope this gets released in Europe! (Although, given that your previous title "Helix" got released here, I'm keeping my hopes high) :D

  • @Retsabla

It is getting released in Europe, in fact, there is a whole contest being held between North America and Europe over this game. Read about it on the ghostfiregames website.

  • O my a "Punch out" clone

  • Also, once I give you the ideas, you can do whatever, I don't have them copyrighted or anything! :D I just want to see them made!

  • Looks like a must !!! Will download it as soon as it is available in my region on Wiiware.

  • 40 megs for a game like that is quite nice, good dev skills guys ;)

Demoscene ninjas involved ol learned demoscene technics? Procedural generation of sound and graphiccs? Games like Spore use it...

  • wow looks really cool. here is a hint that would definitely be an amazing and popular Wiiware game. If you have played a PC game called X ops, it is a freeware FPS. It is very cool, addicting AND popular, and a replica would be perfect for Wiiware. The game is only 20 mb too, there is even an online mode for it.

  • This looks suspiciously similar to HVS gladiator game.

  • We've been working this game for nearly a year, long before the "HVS gladiator game" was announced.

  • Not really, you are fighting different things and it is in FP, so not really. I might get this game. It would be cool if you guys at ghost fire could make some games I have ideas about. Just email me if you are interested.

  • How did you get all this in a 40MB size limit?

  • Weve learned a lot since we made our first game, Helix. Through compression, clever programming, and taking advantage of some cool tricks on the Wii, we have managed to include voice acting, 4 unique music tracks, and full lush 3d graphics with vivid animations.

  • That's sweet, this game looks real good for a WiiWare game.

  • Looks good. And I'm surprised how good it looks considering the size limitations on Wiiware.

  • Oh oh! I have a question not related to this game — which looks REALLY good mind you, — but how did you end up getting your job?

I'm a little ad student in Canada, and I'm curious how you find out about developers like this? Are you all roommate? The wanted pages?

Cause as much as I'd love to work for a multimillion dollar ad agency or companies like Procter & Gamble, but I would LOVE to work for a company that makes games!

    Also, is it fun?

  • The music in some of these videos is awesome! :)

  • does this game use wiimotion plus?

  • We won't be supporting the Wii Motion Plus. You hold the Wii-remote sideways (like Punch Out). Punch Out fans have proven that is the most accurate way to play a fast-paced game.

  • Looks really fun. Definitely gonna keep watch of this one.

  • Good!

  • I'm the director of marketing for Ghostfire Games, and I'd be happy to answer any questions regarding this video and game.

  • it looks very good, i enjoyed helix, and still enjoying so i will look forward for this

  • Not bad...
