Yes, it is Ruiza. He looked a bit different in the early syndrome era (due to the use of too much make up maybe?).While in the late era with asagi as vocalist he looks like in the early days of D. Actually D was the continuition band of syndrome without shion and Kisaki. Even Sin, the later drummer of Syndrome, was a D member before he has left the band.
And do you know that drummer in this vid is Kenichi (from Merry?) :)
@MysteriousAsteria You just gave me a nice vk history lesson, thnx. ^^ Yeah, I see they used a LOT of make up here, hehe :DD But I still find all of their looks very fascinating. OMG no I didn't recognize Kenichi. xD This old school stuff is so distracting!
Matina was the first label of Kisaki, who was the bassist of the vk band Mirage at that time. (mirage was on the soleil label before). Undercode is Kisaki's current label.
Some matina bands: madeth gray'll, Snydrome, Mist of Rouge (D=Out's vocalist's former band), early VIDOLL, Azalea, VellaDonna, DAS:VASSER, Mebius, etc...
Seriously. I am so fucking sick of people new to the older Visual Kei scene trying to say that everyone is copying their precious Dir en Grey when they were just as average as every other Visual Kei band at the time.
Not to mention Tatsuya CAN sing just fine. You apparently haven't heard much of his voice. It's absolutely divine in songs like SLEPT DOLL.
This song with the filters over his voice definitely don't do him justice.
Is a very synthesized song I'll say, but it sounds very cool with the style. Syndrome was before Dir en Grey weren't they? I don't know I'm not into Dir en Grey :P Tatsuya is sure as Hell not copying anyone that's for sure. Asagi and Tatsuya both have very unique styles and are both very wonderful singers.
Who cares, Syndrome will always be better than Dir en Grey, even if they disbanded in 2001. I've never really felt like listening to Dir en Grey, I love Tatsuya and Asagi's voices. That you for telling me about this :D I got into VK in March when I accidentally found D.
They were after. Kisaki formed Mirage after La:Sadie's ended and then Syndrome two years after Mirage was formed. The end of Syndrome meant the end of Matina as well. On the same topic, Kisaki's bands have 420820845280x quality PV's than all the other bands on his labels. He should share his production funds more D:
excuse me, but I'm NOT NEW TO VISUAL KEI. I know a lot about it actually, and if you're trying to say I'm a fan of Diru, you're so fucking wrong XD fail.
I'm just saying that I prefer Asagi's voice to Tatsuya, and I have heard better singers.
Alright, Thanks you. Again Syndrome would have never been good without both. But I perfer Asagi more. Like you've said it's an opinion. ;] Thank you for telling me.
Thanks. I have the video myyself but love when people promote Syndrome. This was the first VK band I ever saw live - at the Rock May Kan in Tokyo July 2000. I was just in AWE when I saw them and can quite honestly saw Tatsuya turned me on to VK. Recently at an Undercode live in Tokyo, an Undercode band did a cover of this song. I went MENTAL.. I think I was the only one who knew it. Ughhh newbie VK kids these days!!! Keep up the VK uploads!
Classic and memorable!

Is the lead guitarist really Ruiza in this vid?? Here he looks gorgeous but his face doesn't look that similar in his D era pictures...

THIS IS THE BEST SONG IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!
Syndrome is the most awesome kotekote band ever! It's also one of KISAKI's best bands imo.

Asagi is so much better, even though he wasn't the original singer.
Tatsuya just tries to be some fucking Kyo-copy and he can't even sing -___-;;

Please tell me how he's trying to "copy" Kyo?

Dir en Grey WAS before Syndrome I believe, but that doesn't mean he's copying Kyo. XD
A lot of people assume this from their style of dress, when that's just what was common amongst Visual Kei bands back then.

Yeah, Kisaki is amazing <3
Alright, Maybe I should look up Dir En Grey stuff? xDD I don't really like the voice for them much though...

@byonin "I'm NOT NEW TO VISUAL KEI. I know a lot about it actually, "
From wikipedia, obviously.
Tatsuya is in no way similar to Kyo, unless you count appearance. (Which every Visual Kei band looked like this in the nineties, anyway.)
Vaeltier 2 years ago 2
@byonin: Me too, I prefer Asagi's voice over Tatsuya's. Well, I prefer Asagi's voice over any other VK band I've listened too.
rainhero18 1 year ago 2
aaaaaand if Dir en grey has become famous AFTER them , then Kyo is being the copycat XD They're too similar in my opinion -___-;;
Nah, the music is fine otherwise, I'm not going to start a fight about a thing like this~~

That's not Asagi. That's Tatsuya.
Tatsuya is so much more better. <3 (In my opinion, at least.)
Vaeltier 2 years ago
;o Oh sorry. Haha I'm bad at telling. Appearantly I can't find videos with Asagi XD
Although are you so sure? It kinda looks like Asagi ;o But I'll take your word for it.
I think Asagi is so much more better <_< But SYndrome would have never been good without both.
YashaYuki1311 2 years ago
Yep. 100% sure. I think this is actually Syndrome's first video. Asagi comes much later.
I personally prefer Tatsuya. His voice has more power and uniqueness to it. But that's an opinion, not a fact. :P
