They never say Tidus' name aloud in X. That's because when you play, you can enter any name you want. However, in Kingdom Hearts I they pronounce it as "Tee-dus" (Wakka says it) and in Kingdom Hearts II, it's pronounced as "Tie-dus" (Selphie says it). So I think the pronunciation varies...

I say Tie-dus because it makes more sense to me, y'know with how he plays blitzball and is one of the 3 characters that can swim in the game, he hangs in the tide. Tide-us! Even in KH he hangs around on the beach, still with the tide.

As for the video, Kuja is my favorite of the FF villains. He's just so unique, striking, and he is a rather tough boss. Seymour, the villain that appears in the following game just can measure up to the pure magical pwnage that is Kuja.

@ZellDincht1226 Actually the pronunciation for zidane in english is "Zi-dayne" and for tidus in english is "Tie-dus" But In japanese they are Jitan (Ji Tan, ジタン) and Tida (Teī Da, ティーダ). In English names like "Jitan" and "Tida" don't exist so they were replaced with english similar names "Zidane" and "Tidus" which are pronounced like above. In dissidia however the developers seem to have stuck their heads into eachothers asses and totally raped the english version with japanese pronounced names.

I agree with you Zell, I always pronounced Zidane Zee-Dayne, it just sounds right to me. Also, i used to pronounce Tidus "Tie-Dus", as it seemed right, sounded right to me, and also with him being a blitzball player, and having the brotherhood sword, i thought the name "Tie-Dus" related to the Tide of the sea. But now i pronounce it Tee-Dus for some reason >.< Anyway, good video! :)

Zidane's name is pronounced Jit-ah-n (spelt Jitan) in Japanese so it makes sense that it is Zid-ah-ne in English (I was pronouncing it Zid-ah-ne before I knew that anyway...)

It's the same with Tidus. His Japanese name is pronounced Tee-da (spelt Tiida - meaning sun), so it makes sense that his English name is Tee-dus.
