  • Great player ... but those faces he's pulling in this are hilarious!

  • How- how can you dislike this?? What could possibly be wrong with this?? I don't get it!! To those who disliked: YOU'RE ALL JUST FUCKING JEALOUS TROLLS!

  • Comment removed

  • PURE FUCKING MAGIC!!!

  • So Excited by SRV! love it

  • BASTARD!!! He's so good, he's at the point to where playing shuffle blues is just a walk in the park!! He's having so much fun with it!!

  • Damn. I have only seen a few people who can play with the same amount of fire that Ol' Stevie could. Johnny boy I salute You! Awesome!

  • a boy with his toy

  • this is some serious wah wa wee wah.

  • im a guitar player and huge SRV fan and im so glad john mayer keeps Stevie's influence alive. thanks JM.

  • Comment removed

  • i'm an old bluesman but the boy can play no doubt

  • woooooooow

  • People sayin' SRV played only what he wanted, that Johnny does it for himself. Closed your eyes and see if you can hear the difference. We all do it for the praise and the for the duckies. If you can get paid, have a good time and make people feel it, then damn you're good. Wish I could play like Stevie and John, then you'll would be leavin' me posts!!! RIP SRV and long live Mr. Mayer!!

  • I miss the pink guitar!!!!

  • thats a really good point. never hit me. right on. another difference is mayer isnt that great. i dont think he should mess with the formula. if it aint broke dont fix it. he's a great pop guy.

  • heres the difference between SRV and mayer. SRV did it for himself. he didnt care if you liked it. mayer does it to please people.

  • @sakowihe75 HAHAHA dude, absolutely not. I'm sorry, idk where you heard this but you're absolutely wrong about that.

  • mayer did it for himself too. go listen to his speech during Bold As Love-Where the light is.

  • @sakowihe75 I'm pretty sure you don't become that good solely on the desire to please people. Mayer's talent is driven by passion and love for the blues. You're claim is utterly absurd.

  • @princeoftroy89 im jss saying that he plays what the crowd wants to hear. srv played what he felt ie. the montreux festival. the booed stevie and he said fuck them and played whatever he wanted. mayer probably would have caved and played what the crowd wanted

  • or give up, whichever. both the same.

  • its a shame people recognize him mostly for his pop songs. i say he drops that shit and plays blues 24/7

  • jon, can u please take your shirt off and play 'Winter wonderland'?

  • hopefully every generation duplicates and improves the edge of the envelope of guitar skills....chuck berry, hendrix, eddie, ?, ?, mayer

  • Wow, sounds very much like Stevie. But John did Idolize Stevie growing up, so it is not surprising that he can emulate Stevie's sound. Impressive to say the least!

  • I couldn't handle this all at once. I kept coming back to watch it in parts,

  • He's having rough sex with that guitar..

  • I love at around 4:00 he does the finishing lick, but the band doesn't follow with him. Classic.

  • u know, it just hit me. my foot's in my mouth. ive been waisting my time debating with a female. i lose, pwittbold. i accept my defeat. i'll move to another jon Gayer vid and pepper that one. my bad.

  • @wmc1103 wow who are you to call anyone else gay? Are you so worthless that all you can do is purposely find things to troll? Well if you go to another mayer video, go to his cover of i dont need no doctor, or watch him play neon. This guy has talent, just because he can make it big, mainstream, bang any actress he wants, and play the hell out of a guitar should make you jealous. But there is no need to hate.

  • @lsdman14 who am i to call him gay? first, im in America. 2nd, i can do anything he can do but i dont consider myself very good. im guilty of having a high bar. jon talented, yes. thats obvious. im just trying to show people the light. oh, anyone who plays guitar with their shirt off deserves the verbal hits. please. btw, theres no hatred or jealousy here. i dont rip up real guitar players. this is as good as he gets. enjoy.

  • @wmc1103 I live in america too, he's a hetero male, this video doesn't showcase his playing very well. I'm a guitar player, i can play machine gun, texas flood, hideaway, etc.. does that mean i'm better than clapton, hendrix, SRV? I guess you're saying jimmy page isn't a real guitar player either also? Seriously, why hate? He's one of the few talented modern musicians today? Watch, "who did you think I was" or him playing in LA. You're really a cunt for no reason mate.

  • @lsdman14 what r u, 14? and dont call me mate.

  • @wmc1103 haha regardless, even if i'm 6, i'm still more mature than you, someone who goes around TRYING to find videos to hate on. You're fucking pathetic, get a life and some good taste. and a comeback

  • @lsdman14 yup. 14. i knew it.

  • Can please anyone tell me what is the exact title of this song?

(Ostbahn Kurti in Austria did a cover version - what is the title of that song?)

    Thanks!

  • @chrilirakete so excited. by srv.

  • He's so young here and he can play a million times better than this now. But this is still frickin awesome!!

  • i can get this anywhere. he's a dime a dozen. give credit where its due, jon can write, sing and play (acousticly) one hell of a pop song. as far as electric guitar? if u know this guitar, u realize he missed at least 20 of the first 50 notes. nice cover, gayer. Hey, listen to the follow up song afterwards. enough said. winner, me.

  • @pwittbold Oh Johnny Boy is far better than this now...He's a kid in this video, and still sounds more like JM than SRV. Don't worry about these haters like wmc1103, most people would rather regurgitate a popular opinion about a celebrity than actually take the time to form their own. SRV is the most talented and difficult to emulate blues guitarist that I've ever personally studied in 10 years of playing strats. Mayer is our generation's gift to music, one of the few real bluesmen left.

  • John is my god of guitar. His has his own uniqueness on his own, different from SRV or Hendrix.

  • @metaguitar and this video is 7 years old, good job

  • Damn...he's good. Not many people can emulate SRV so well. This is truly impressive. You go John!

  • People are jealous... Mayer is a fuckin guitar player ! It's really, Mayer is a genius of rythm and groove. It's an evidence... open your eyes and EAR !

  • It's nice to know that girls still cheer for blues.

  • I love SRV and John Mayer was a huge SRV fan and is carrying on his music as he loves to play it.I for one am glad he plays songs of SRVs.

  • Great tribute to the man!

  • This is some of the best playing I've seen from him.

  • @AreaCode978 THATS BECAUSE HES PLAYIN STEVIES WAY/STYLE.HES A LITTLE TOO FAST ON HIS NOTE HITTING.NEEDS TO SLOW DOWN.BUT HE DOES A GREAT JOB WITH THE TONE AND OVER ALL SOUND.HE TRIED.LOOK UP ZACK ROSICA,IVE SEEN HIM MANY TIMES,AND AT ONE TIME HE WAS THE BEST SRV COVER MAN I EVER SEEN.THERES SOME DOWN LOADS OF ZACK ON YOUTUBE.ZACK HAS CHANGED HIS STYLE A BIT LATELY,BUT STILL REALLY GOOD.

  • no one is interested in hearing a hack cover srv...i rather hear 90y/o richards wank some power chords..this shit is boring

  • @Pre00 you obviously have never really listened to Mayer live he plays amazing songs and solos like a god go watch his crossroads performance of gravity and tell me if you still think he is a hack cause obviously Clapton thinks he is talented

  • @jongo2011 is that the word Clapton used? if im jon im insulted.

  • @Pre00

So why stay. Nay 2 comments. You practically lingered here. I personally dont like Mayers voice, an obstacle to me listening to his music. But the dude can play. Thats just a hard fact. Doesnt matter a fuck what color his shell is. You stupid man.

    SLAP*

  • @Pre00 Dude upload you're so called 'NOTE FOR NOTE' fucking cover, i'll call you on your bluff you fuck .. John mayer is one of the best, denying this is PURE ignorance, listen to the fucking music or piss off

  • learn to play guitar and cover songs from SRV or other dead non-mainstream guitar players.... and all the young teenie chicks will adore you ^^ PS- don't cover jimi hendrix 'cos even girlies might know him ^^ LOL

  • Look at that lovely Tattoo free arm!!

  • What amazing talent at so early age. And what a joy he had playing on stage!

  • this may be the most fun i've seen john mayer have on stage. just look at his expressions. he's stoked!!!!!!

  • Damn,,, I had no idea.....

  • @PULLEY08 so your hating on him cuz he kicks ass on guitar and gets the hottest chicks? u think u can play SVR better?

  • the 34 people who disliked the video can't accept the fact that mayer can hold his own when it comes to blues

  • @mayermusic1092 he cant hold my dick in his hand let alone play the blues.... THATS WHY WE NEVER HEAR HIS LAME ASS, CUZ HE CANT CREATE HIS OWN SHIT.... HE IS A LUMP.. MY GREAT UNCLE CAN JAM BETTER AND HE IS 87 YRS OLD!!!!

  • @PULLEY08 i would love for you to put a video of your 87 year old uncle doing this song, that would actually make my day!

  • ok i love srv and john mayer and he did an awesome job here but the srv strap... cmon only srv can pull that off

  • unreal well done mayer steve wud b proud and joyed at ur performance

  • Great tribute.. SRV was the king of blues and his experience gave his predecessor like Mayer new ways to express themselves. He changed the way blues is played and heard nowadays. Stop complaining about mayer, he's a very talented guitarist and he brings a lot of young people into the real musical world with his bluesy pop songs. And this is truely what we need if we wanna hear new blues masterpieces.. Sadly, SRV won't come back, spare some room for the new generations

  • this is called so excited...right?

  • @necrobutcher27 yessir

  • If someone loves blues and loves playing it, then they are a blues musician. You don't have to get accepted by others to be considered a blues musician, and theres no such thing as being rejected as one either. Blues is music, music is sound, sound is free and freedom of self expression. There's no 'rules' to music . No one can tell you wether or not 'the notes your playing are wrong', your allowed to make whatever sound you want.

  • He copied my guitar strap...ahahahah

  • All you people talking about who is and isnt blues - why not just go from what the great originators said themselves. "Anyone can play blues, blues is for EVERYBODY. But you can only feel the blues if you've been spat at in the face or struggled for food or anything else your songs are about". Enough said.

  • The name of this song is So Excited. Just to let you know ;).

  • wah ha weeeeee wah. amen.

  • i'm looking for a video that was certainly here on youtube .. it was like; john mayer was with some other guys, testing guitars, then a guy showed him a guitar that was a replica from stevie ray .. even with the crack in it .. can't find it anymore , he even played on it

  • @eagle003 i think i know which video you are talking about. it was "john mayer's 200 guitar collection" or something like that... yeah, i can't find the video anymore either-guessing it got deleted...

  • @eagle003 its on vimeo. Just type John Mayer 200 Guitars: The Collection and then click on the first link. Then enjoy

  • @Gupps0123456 you ARE the man! :D

  • this video looks like, before he was famous, back when he was in high school playing for prom or something, he looks like 17 im not kidding. that's what i see when i watch this vid. young young john :D

  • @theslackwell

that is to the upmost retarded....

  • @theslackwell So you're saying that SRV was good because of his guitar strap? It's called inspiration, buddy. If you played an instrument you'd know what it's about. If anything he's giving SRV kudos for inspiring him to pick up a guitar and make a living out of it. Everyone musician pays tribute to every piece of their favorite music when they play because they pull together all of their influences into their own style. That's how music works.

  • Soooo, if this isn't a tape playing the guit parts....I'm not only impressed but enjoying the shit outa this....SM

  • @theslackwell thank you.

  • @theslackwell thank you.

  • Not bad but no offence he is not in SRV's league for me, does a good job tho' his pop stuff reeks, stick to blues.

  • @tet1963 with all do respect, i disagree. no offense, but 'pop stuff' is what he is, and is good at. conversely, there are countless guys in the world better at guitar than he is. he was rejected by the blues world, but he jumped right back on the horse, kudos.

  • @wmc1103 If he was rejected by the TRUE blues world, Buddy Guy and Eric Clapton would have never sat foot on stage with him. So I have no clue what point you're trying to make here.

  • @xeridian publicity stunt? whatever. my point is mayer isnt a good enough guitarist to be all blues and tour as that. it would never happen. but the guy is a really good pop song writer. thats a huge compliment. keep rockin john.

  • @wmc1103 I was born In Louisiana, raised in Texas, I grew up around nothing but Jazz and The blues in the heart of where a lot of it started. I don't think you have a clue as to what the blues are about or what makes a good blues player. People I know here like Lance Lopez and Andy Timmons would laugh in your face if they heard you say that. You wouldn't last 2 secs down here with your ear! Technically Blues is the easiest to play on Guitar, it's the feel you can't teach and Mayer has it...

  • @xeridian yet he isnt blues...

  • @wmc1103 You really have no clue do you... Even Clapton dabbled in multi genres like Contemporary, Pop, Rock, Christian and Blues. The other stuff is for a pay check, they do the blues because they love it... No one is going to go out of their way to have a second band just to act like they can play something that they are quite capable of playing... I'm done talking to simple minds here that change nothing but their method of ignorance!

  • @xeridian clapton isnt blues. and ur wrong, jimi hendrix did, w/out thinking of others. mayer will always b just a pop song guy, but damn good at it.

  • @wmc1103 "Clapton isn't blues"? hahahahahaha. That has to be the best joke of the decade so far!

  • @wmc1103 wow... You did yourself in with that comment, I don't have to say anything else, you did it for me with that ludicrous statement, at least I don't have to waste anymore energy on your ill-informed retorts...

  • @wmc1103 Jimi Hendrix spat out Muddy Waters and the great blues musicians of the 40s at his will as long as jazz greats like Django Reinhardt and Wes Montgomery. You know nothing if you say Hendrix's style was not inspired by those before him (especially Muddy Waters), his style developed in the same way as Claptons...by sitting in his room trying to copy his idols...and Clapton was blues by the way...his idol being Robert Johnson. It is all the same as Mayer idolizing SRV. As is SRV/Albert King

  • @wick2107 i think ur straying paths. i agree, everyone has influences. on the same token, u r either blues or u r not. clapton isnt. theres no arguement there. my favorite mayer song?, "why, georgia?" even though hes from connecticut.

  • @wmc1103 I do not see how Clapton was not blues, sure he had moments in his career when he played different genres but he definitely spent the majority of it playing blues. In the beginning with the Yardbirds and Cream, then returning to it in the 90s starting on Unplugged and making two more very blues good albums that decade and now he is sober and old and has become more withdrawn in his style. then in between the 60s and 90s he regularly released blues songs (i.e. alot of the Layla album)

  • @wick2107 fair enough. even though his first all blues record was

'rock the cradle". but you have valid points.

  • @wmc1103 is a fag. hang yourself and quit playing guitar, your an embarrassment to the instrument, and learn to type without the AOL instant messenger language. Books are something you might want to look into....

  • @pwittbold actually, im awesome. or great, whichever. i know, the truth hurts. let it soak in. its ok. (wait, is that how u spell "ok"?) and guitar playing is something u might want to look into. im secure in my ways because i know what good is. john gayer could never go on tour as a blues guitarist, he just isnt good enough. besides, he'll always b an acoustic love song guy. which explains y u love him.

  • @wmc1103 ....... John Mayer Trio......2-3 years of John Mayer going on blues tour...Eric Clapton Crossroads Gutiar Festival....not to mention the numerous blues festivals, private shows, and other recording projects he's done with the best blues guitarists in the world.

J.M. is likely better at playing blues on a xylophone than you on a guitar, and your hatred towards him is likely jealousy from a failed music career, or more likely your ugly, a virgin, and a stereotypical failure

  • @pwittbold i obviously struck a chord, huh? no pun intended. btw, u forgot a period after the word failure. im not saying he sucks, but he wows no one (except you) but the homos who go see him. he a blues reject. 2-3 years of mediocrity, small crowds and help from other headliners. thats y he went back to writing pop songs, jackass. just 4 the record, i like a few of his acoustics. my guilty pleasure, "Why, Georgia". in that way he is gifted. now go to your room and stay there.

  • his incredibly stupid expression is remarkable

  • its not how it looks but how its sounds

  • @gibsonsggeni its sounds differently to a blues lover than it does anyone else. thats why most people who like it arent a true blues fan.

  • rocks!

  • When i see you better, then you can talk trollers.

  • LOL I'm very familiar with improv musicians. Obviously you aren't or you wouldn't be so impressed with John Mayer... I bet this is the first song you've heard with a guitar outside of Taylor Swift. But good job trying to sound smart. :P

  • Well, I just came from looking a video with Jimmie Vaughan, Clapton, Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, Bonnie Rait, BB King and Tommy Shannon on bass, plus Dr John on piano and god knows who else...so if there is a lot of people who see this sucker, good for them as long as they listen to the really good ones, as long as they stop saying "Oh my god he is the most talented guitarist there is"...cause he is NOOOOT.

  • this is called "so excited" check out srv do this at the el mocambo, it's fucking sick

  • this shuffle is the shit. i get fucking stoked listening to it every time. Wish i could've been at this one.

  • He has SRV tat on his arm, I have a JCM tat on my wrist........here is why!!! Yes sir!

  • @england716 Way to get a tattoo of a musician who won't be remembered in another 10 years..

  • @PilotDoofy my body, not your's........he has made a freakin' huge success and name for himself in the last 12 years.......7 Grammys.....Who the hell are you to tell me whether you approve of a tattoo or not?

Oh yeah, John taught himself how to play....and he can't read music, he plays by ear, improvs.......don't know the term??? In other words he can make up something on the spot.

Keep it up John! I got my JCM tat and I love it! PilotDoofy........and Doofy is right.......go jump in a lake!

  • @PilotDoofy Way to post a comment that no one gives a shit about as they read it.

  • Cara novo! Manda muito bem! SRV FOREVER!!

  • if only all his music was like that!!

  • @snakkajak if it was, you wouldnt have heard about him.

  • Great playing!! But he will never get the stagepresent of SRV.

But i guess no one will.

  • NOBODY JUST WAKES UP AND STARTS PLAYING SRV, YOU HAVE TO BE A FAN WITH A LIFETIME OF PRACTICE TO MIMIC HIM. SRV EMBODIED THE BLUES AND IN TRUE FASHION, IF HE WERE ALIVE TODAY, WOULD BE HONOURED BY THIS PERFORMANCE. JOHN MAYER HAS WITHOUT A DOUBT PAID HIS DUES OF SITTING ON THE EDGE OF A BED FOR HOURS ON END PAYING TRIBUTE TO A MAN HE IDOLIZED. TO SAY HE IS NOT DESERVED IS JUST PLAIN IGNORANCE.

  • @brickwall595 i think mayer plays pretty well SRV but he cannot mimic him...SRV has the most clean playing style he was just the perfect bluesman but damn sure mayer does it well

  • @brickwall595 I agree..Johnny boy gets a lot of flack, but talent is talent! The guy can play guitar like a crazy man....very precise and melodic. He's no Stevie Ray but he's good!

  • @brickwall595 amen..couldnt agree more.

  • @brickwall595 im pretty sure early in his career his managers told him not to play blues guitar stuff... get him famous first.. its obvious he loved the blues ever since he touched a guitar or before...

  • @huyiy no it was his choice

  • @huyiy na i think it was his choice, but he was wise enough to realize that he wouldn't be able to gain such a big fan base by playing blues straight away, so i reckon his goal was to introduce more people to blues through his pop, but he still likes pop and wants to be a pop artist. :)

  • @brickwall595 and jealousy too

  • @brickwall595 lol i feel kind of flattered, I woke up this morning took my guitar and played Pride and joy xD

but I know what you mean its not the same but still xD

  • @brickwall595 Apsalutly thats for sure cuz im in the same stage and Ive studied my far share of stevie and i know my shit so i can tell john mayer really spent some while practicing and dedication to get this good. Props to you john mayer SRV rock on.....

  • @brickwall595 To be able to play stevies shit, you gotta know your facts about stevie, ive studied sevie for a many years, and the shit that john mayer does is impressive knowing how hard it is to develop that talent, props to John, and I agree with you man it takes dedication to be able to play like steive and a blessing from God. r.i.p SRV

  • @shaire99 ...maybe you don't even understand what a blues turnaround pattern is, that's why everything sounds wrong to you. If you really know blues, then you should know the concept of blues scale usage and sound form. How embarrassing for you to leave a such drivel comment when you don't even know music, all you can do is just sit in front of a computer and brag while doing nothing by yourself.

Sorry shaire99, but your comment is garbage if you're mature enough to realize what you said.

  • @shaire99

Lol. If you really want to break it down to what blues purely is, it's a 1 4 5 progression. You can play the major over minor blues vice versa. Like this empty arms in a minor, on the 1st and 5th part, you can play A major over it. That's because the way blues is built tonally allows that to happen. And yes, it is really just a pentatonic scale+maybe a flat fifth/third if you want to add those extra notes. Technically, it is blues.then add on all the soul he has? It can ONLY be blues.

  • @pastyourhorizon Well duh you can use major or minor over a 1 4 or 5 because those are in both scales... lol

  • @shaire99 Because he's playing BB licks? I don't understand what you think is "drivel" there. But I probably should trust you since your obviously an expert and totes better than mayer...

  • @shaire99 i agree with everyone that EMBARRASSED U ur the one that do not know shit about blues when u learn how to play it n feel it then talk so for now just shut up and cry in silence

  • @shaire99 then you dont know what blues is

  • If SRV wanted to be, and sound like musician that he use to listen and play with, he would never be what he use to be

  • @bgtocak I hope you had a grammar issue, S.R.V. was what he was BECAUSE of the musicians he listened to and aspired to be. He's even said that numerous times and even goes further to say that by the grace of GOD and the people he was inspired by, was he able to become the person/musician he was. Just wanted to correct your mistake there... :)

  • A MAZE ING! Intensely great! Yah..........

  • guys, it's a tribute to Stevie! See how much fun he has!

  • I think what it all comes down to is that john mayer is a guitarist too. And if he should only stay "original" then doesnt that mean that no guitarists should try to learn SRV material? Hes a player at heart and i know i love playing SRVs stuff, and seeing how big of an influence Stevie was on him, then i dont see why he shouldnt play if he wants. I think by covering Stevie, hes paying homage, not tryin to outplay him!

  • I love how people compare musicians everyday when they should think before they speak. I am 100% positive none of the blues greats or even john mayer set out to be better than each other. Like SRV said, "Theres no such thing as a better musician, just one thats good at what they do." So please people stop speaking for the dead and the living and just listen to the music and enjoy.

  • @WaltonWembleyMusic But if they're both trying to do the same thing, then you have basis for comparison, and one can be better than another. I am 100% positive that some or many blues greats set out to be better than their inspirations. Many of them have a competitive nature that makes them strive for perfection. Eric Clapton has said in interviews how he was trying to sound better than his inspirations, and got discouraged when he found out about hendrix, so this alone disproves your argument.

  • Comment removed

  • this is directly to all the guitarists on here criticizing john mayer and saying "oh hes not allowed to touch srv's music", what makes you all high and mighty that YOU can ATTEMPT srv and mayer cant? whats the difference between you and him playing it beside the fact that he probably does it better? lol oh envy...

  • im a huge fan of vaughan and i didnt know mayer till now and i can say that he play amazing im surprized..

  • he's a lot more diverse than srv and he has a better voice. no one can deny that.

  • @turnbacktime I hate to admit it, but yeah your right......mayer's song writing skills and voice puts him on another level

  • LOL at 0:26 he is like: "Yay i'm playing SRV"

  • people come on! this is awesome and you know it! why shouldn't john mayer play SRV stuff? it sounds pretty good :P and there are plenty of people who almost can't hold a guitar on youtube playing SRV and that seems to be okay for most of the people :P so what is the problem with johnny over here playing it? :P and the great thing about the blues is that everybody can play his/her own version of the piece. no copyright bullshitting :P just enjoy a young talent jamming our favorite tune :P

  • oh my fucking god this man knows how to make his guitar sing!!

  • Ok, firstly I am no Mayer fan BUT he is a good player, NO doubt about it. But the SRV fans who says that he shouldn't touch his music... really? Are you also saying that SRV shouldn't have touched Buddy Guy, Hopkings, King (both of em), Hendrix etc?

If someone is playing Stevie's music then I get to hear it and let's be honest, he's playing it with hnoesty and integrity. I don't like the fact that thgere's not much of his own stamp on it but he's appreciating Stevie and tipping his hat.

  • @gimickuk1 well said!!

  • The name of this song is "SO EXCITED" not "SRV shuffle". Anyway: just a great version! But try to listen the vaughan's version... ;)

  • @bluesfun SRV, the Real Deal. I really like this cover but I always have to go and listen to Stevie playing ANYTHING after hearing a cover!

  • rockin the SRV neck strap ,, sooooo fuckin sick

  • @DestinStrahan i know right? I would be so scared to wear it unless I was one hundred and ten per cent sure I was good enough :P

  • I prefer this version :P

  • What can I say? John's playing is so good. Not only can he play, he can write as well. I've come to realize, you really get to know who someone is when they play their own creations. So many good players can play anything they hear, but when you ask them, "so what have you written?" it stops them cold. Not this guy. BTW I think Stevie would be pleased. This guy is kicking ass. He really gets my respect. Say what you will, he's got the music careen we'd all like to have.

  • i have no prob with this kid play stevies songs the kid is good not stevie good but good and if any says he cant they would if his shoes

  • no doubt the boy is very talented like his playing but really i can tell ye all he is not the1 that has come to b better then stevie.so dont even compare john to stevie.ya see people come along in this world at times that are just freaks of nature and john isint he just very talented but stevie was past talented in my opinion gona b a century or more b4 sum1 like stevie comes along again

  • I just want to say F you to everyone hating on John Mayer and saying he is anything but a great guitarist

  • Kick Ass

  • Not even half the player Stevie Ray was!

  • @sexyton1988 doesn't do half the amount of drugs either mind you! hahahahahaha god bless srv

  • That is one bad boy!!!

  • Well the boy is a chick magnet undeniably. I'd trade 20 of him for one SRV.

  • 1:05-1:10 is the same lick in the solo to "everyday i have the blues" from the live in la album lol goooood stuff

  • @AlexisGuitar94 than you've heard nothing of john mayer...
