Well, this year will be the 65th anniversary. It'll be worth it to plan a trip. I wish I could go again this year but I have other plans and not enough money to do both. :(

Thank you. Yeah it was a trip I'll never forget and not as much a circus as you may think. Everybody takes it very seriously. Good point about the germans. As you saw we didn't forget their side of the story. It was good fun riding in a convoy of allied vehicles and seeing german vehicles come towards you on the other lane. It felt like going through a time portal. And all the schoolkids in busses pressing their noses to the glass when we came by. Awesome! Glad you liked it.

That was part of an improvised harbour. Arromanche was the only place with a low enough coastline to build a harbour to get supplies to the troops.

there was also one built as omaha beach but was damaged beyond repair shortly after d-day due to a bad storm.

Yes, well spotted. It was the Lanc from the Battle of Britain memorial flight, together with a spitfire and a mustang. Awesome sound to hear 6 merlin engines fly over. Gave me goosbumps :)

I've seen a Lancaster once and it was amazing, it flew right over me. It truly was a beautiful sound.

Fantastic. I was in Normandy in 2006 doing a brief tour of some of the sites. Watching your clips makes me want to go back all the more, see the places I missed.

That's all a question of taste isn't it. I put the music under it because I like it and I think it adds to the video and it's not very loud anyway. So I'm afraid we have to agree to disagree. I'm glad you liked the footage anyway.
