@80sVidLover No,Al was never on TOTP as he was told that he wouldn't be invited unless YOTC was in the top 30 - unbelievably it only made it to no.31 ! Of course it was a top 10 song in the US.

Al Stewart reached #7 in the USA with "Year of the Cat" in 1977. In 1978, Stewart hit the top-10 again with "Time Passages" which reached #8.

Thank you very much! This video brings back nostalgic memories of the '70s alright! Psychedelic jackets, bell bottoms and Beatles hair! Al looks like George Harrison's younger brother! The song is exotic and melodic with a spy-ful edge to it. Somehow the song reminds me of Casablanca with a Mata Hari type of woman. What'd you think? I've always love the song so nice to be able to SEE Al and co. perform it!

Thanks for this! I've been listening to and enjoying Al's music since the early 70s and I think I enjoy it more with each passing year. One thing that keeps impressing itself on me is what an amazing guitarist Tim Renwick is. Of course Peter White is too, and unfair as it may seem, I wish he'd get off the piano stool and PLAY THAT ELECTRIC GUITAR!!!
