  • Do you have a switch on that record player to control the speed of the turn table? I do on mine. I can speed mine up and sounds like chipmonks.

  • One really can't judge the true quality of this great song & performance based soley on hearing it here, The sound quality is TERRIBLE compared to how it REALLY sounds. That turntable slightly speeds up the tempo to make it sound pretty tinny (thin) and Tammi kinda like Minnie Mouse. I can assure the song is FAR more likable and SOULFUL when heard correctly! STILL I appreciate MotownMaster... a TRUE soul believer.

  • I have to agree. This is a great song by a beautiful singer but this video doesn't do it justice. Get the CD. It's much better.

  • I have to say this song doesn't work for me. Tammi had that kind of tone Diana had in her early years that just didn't work on certain songs. I mean, Tammi's voice is like Diana's voice which was more sexy in their lower tone rather than their high tone. Jean Terrell to me was more soulful and her delivery with the Supremes when Diana left was what the group needed. I LOVE her voice. She was the right choice vocally.

  • I doubt Tammi would've ended up agreeing to join a group, namely The Supremes, if she'd lived and as has been hypothesized by many, when Diana left that group in 1970. But if she did, this reminds me of a style of song that I think would've hit with Mary and Cindy for them...Tammi and Jean were kind of similar: but Tammi had the sexiness and coyness in her delivery and presence that she shared with Diana, but which Jean (although a true talented artist) to me just didn't have as much of.

  • v nice, this sounds like a chicago sound in parts and memphis in others

  • I'm so glad Hip-O-Select put out THE COMPLETE MOTOWN SINGLES...it helps me sift through the madness of miami traffic

  • That is FUNKAY Beat!

  • holy fuck.

    that is real.

  • this is tight

  • Great Singer & Song... greatly appreciate MotownMaster as always! Too bad it's playing slightly too fast (a little cartoonish) compared to how the record actually sounds though. Maybe it can be re-uploaded so folks get a quality representation.

  • This is superb. Tammi would have been 62 now and I wonder,if she'd lived, how big a star she would have been.

  • the beat and melody almost like Jr. Walker's Home Cookin'

  • You know, you're RIGHT!

And SO is the whole SONG reminiscent of Jr. Walker's sound! Just with Tammi Terrell SINGING! That was BANGIN'!

  • this is great!!!

  • This song was released as Motown 1115 in October, 1967, right?

  • This is my favorite Tammi Terrell Song. I think she could have been huge by herself. Do you have her album? I listen to it all the time (this song the most). "Let This Girl Tell The World, Oh What A Good Man He Is", Tammi is a soul sister!
