Yes, Japan is nice for Jpnse food of course, & some other ethic food such as Italian, Korean, & French is excellent in Jpn, but Monterey Park is Mecca for Chinese cuisine in America - such a wonderful place when I was in So Cal in the 90s. We drove form Irvine to MP just for porridge. At times, I fantasize I will move to MP for 1 month just to eat! haha. There is an amazing place in MP that serves stewed pork leg - so tender like tofu - Heavenly! I wish I could remember it's name.

I used to go there all the time in the 90's. Now I live in Japan, but I really miss Monterey Park restaurants.
